Alston from Boise State. Sherfield from Nevada and Robinson from Fresno will have strong individual cases, but I would bet they don't give it to a middle of the pack team. The Mountain West has a long track record of giving the player of the year award to someone off the best two teams in the conference. The last time someone won the award who wasn't on one of the top 2 teams was 2008 when JR Giddens got it and New Mexico finished 11-5 in 3rd place.slcagg wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 12:02 pmWho is the other one you are thinking of in the league?Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 10:25 amIt is a two man race for player of the year at his point.

I’m not sure who he is referencing, but I’d assume Alston from Boise. That being said, Grant Sherfield from Nevada is having a heckuva year. He may not win POY assuming Nevada finishes out of the top 3 or 4 teams, but he’s definitely 1st team all conference material if he keeps it up. Between him and Stevens from CSU for top PG and I’d lean Sherfield.slcagg wrote:Who is the other one you are thinking of in the league?Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 10:25 amIt is a two man race for player of the year at his point.
