The fun begins
Even though USU is 6-0 in conference, and BSU is 8-0, neither of us has played any of the top tier teams in the league. We've both (out)played SJSU, UNM and AFA, and they just finished a sweep of UW in Laramie. Only one of those 14 games was close -- the Donks' one-point win in the SJSU rematch.
Starting tonight it gets fun. Next four games against SDSU and CSU, who have only lost once each, to each other, while playing better competition. It will be interesting to see if anyone separates from the pack.

Re: The fun begins
I followed the Donks first game with the pokes and it was pretty close the entire way, within 5 points, until the last 2 minutes IIRC. Last night it looked like they controlled a commanding lead the entire time. Hopefully we have come together as a team since those early losses and can continue our defensive improvements.OKAggie wrote: ↑January 14th, 2021, 8:21 amEven though USU is 6-0 in conference, and BSU is 8-0, neither of us has played any of the top tier teams in the league. Re: The fun begins
We will know where the aggies stand over the next 4 games. I do think this team is playing a lot better than the start of the year. If you have tickets to the game tonight cheer as loud as you can for 2-3 people to give us as much of a home court spectrum advantage as we can. I hope Smith has these guys tuned in tonight to take down the aztecs. Let's go Aggies.

Re: The fun begins
As you probably know, Saturday's game v. SDSU will be televised on main CBS (not CBSSN). I can't ever remember the Aggies playing on national broadcast television other than in an tournament game. Anybody else?

Re: The fun begins
This is the first game in the Spectrum to ever be broadcast on one of the major networks. I'm not aware of any other regular season games on a major network either but our last 2 victories over SDSU were both on CBS as well.

And the sad part is - they won't be able to capture the full Spectrum experience.

I don’t either. The new tv deal has been great imo as there will be several games of these with both fox and cbs each year. If we stay competitive one can only imagine a full spectrum will make it sometime.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑January 14th, 2021, 9:59 amThis is the first game in the Spectrum to ever be broadcast on one of the major networks. On a somewhat side note I have really enjoyed the fs1 broadcasts.

Plus we have a great time slot at 11:30 am should be great coverage for us. I'm excited.
