Most Dangerous on Offense

Post by usubobcat » January 8th, 2021, 8:39 pm

According to the announcers tonight, Bean is the most dangerous player on offense in the entire conference. I think their claim was based on offensive win shares.

Classic Blunders:
1) Getting involved in a land war in Asia
2) Going in against a Sicilian when death is on the line

I don't know how you define "dangerous," but he is steady, under control, and takes what the game gives him. He has really turned into a great player.

And nobody on the team attacks the rim for dunks like he does. When he makes the decision to dunk it, he goes 100%. Strong and explosive every time.

that first one on Friday night was explosive! I thought the defender would get there to contest, but Bean had it at the rim before the other guy jumped

Feel like he gives us a 60:40 chance at the offensive rebound that’s for sure.

I think offensive win shares is a stat that rewards a player highly for getting offensive rebounds. That would definitely explain Bean being rated so highly by it.

He had 8 offensive rebounds last night... UNM had 6 total.
