I'm glad the Aggies at least got to play in a conference tournament. The Aggies are one of a few teams that end their season with a tournament win. It was fun to go down on the floor and celebrate the win. Even with the hick-ups in January, it was a fun season. Thank you Coach Smith and thank you seniors and thank you Sam for giving us all you had. Looking forward to next season already.

He is great and it further shows why this sucks. I have never felt confident in the ncaa tournament until this year. Even last year I hated our matchup against thybulle the best defender in the country and felt we might be raw ourselves with zero tourney experience. I really believed we would have won a game or two this year. We beat lsu, Florida and San Diego state all on neutral courts. We were ready.

I'm really going to miss him.

As mad as I am that the tournament was canceled cuz I really do believe the Aggies could have gotten a victory this year that was an awesome weekend down at the tournament. What a way for Sam to end his career even though it wasn't in the NCAA tournament just the way he finished it and played last weekend that is something he will always remember.

Winning the last game of the year is awesome. We should do this more often.

I also like that every time local news talks about the NCAA tourney being cancelled they start with Sam's game winner. It makes me feel better about crappy news.

Sam Merrill's 3 point shot will go down as the most iconic college basketball shot of March 2020. Great moment. Great player.
