Questions on NET rankings

Post by AGinNEIowa » March 7th, 2020, 6:00 pm

I don't follow it very closely but I think CBS showed US having NET ranking of 43 as of Saturday - is that correct?

Weren't we in the upper 30's as of Friday?

What will this win do? any chance we jump into low 30's?

It will help. We’ll have to wait til tomorrow to see how much and get an idea about seeding.

I predict we will be stuck in the 8-9 game and will play Kansas in the second round.

They dropped from 38 to 43 last night after the Wyoming win. I’m guessing they will more than make up for that drop with today’s win. They will also maybe move up a few more spots next week.

My guess is they they will enter the tournament at about 32. They were 29 last year and Nevada was 23. The NET ranking this year isn’t quite as good, but the three neutral-site Q1 wins this year were better.

Listening to Seth Davis after the game on CBS, he thought there was a chance we might sneak up to a 7 or 6 seed with this win.
