Flynn was a baller tonight, but at the end of the day it is clear that Sam Freakin Merrill deserved the MVP in the conference this season!

There were some scouts from the Nuggets sitting in front of us. They were there to watch Flynn. I’m hoping they left with Sam on their radar!

I would like to thank the coach of SDSU for not throwing some kind of double team, trap at Sam when there was about 10 seconds left.
Are you freaking kidding me? you are going to let him have the ball and try to defend him straight up with one guy?
I would have sent a second defender out to trap him and not let him shoot cleanly at all.
But like the coach said in the presser after the game. Our best player had the ball and missed his shot, their best player had the ball and made his shot.
it was actually very tight defense, but if I was the coach there would have been a double on Sam

It was smart of Smith not to call a time out and allow SDS to do exactly what you said. USU and Merrill already knew what their play would be.
