How many aggies were in attendance?

Post by AKAggie03 » March 6th, 2020, 1:46 am

Sounded loud. Or was it other fans cheering because it was such a good game

We had a decent crowd. My guess would be 3-4 k Aggie fans. I thought we had as many fans as the lobos but they made more noise and we're more active than the Aggies.
Hopefully we get more fans here on Friday because I'm sure Wyoming will have a great crowd and they will have all the other fans cheering for them! Calling all Aggies to drive or fly down tomorrow, we need you!
Go Aggies!

So more Wyoming fans are showing up for the tourney than home games?

Good amount of Aggies but NM crowd was huge, maybe double USU. Hoping more Aggies come down tonight as everyone else will be cheering for Wyo

It was a great aggie crowd. I am sure more will come down today.

I'm heading down with a friend. What section is the aggie section?

At the Aggie pre-game event we had as many fans there as we did for the Championship last year. I thought our crowd was great and while UNM had more than us, I don't think it was double.

@Madmartigan the Aggies are in 118-120.

I thought the crowds were about equal with maybe even more Aggie fans when you looked around the entire arena. The problem for the Aggies seems to be the same every year....other fans bases are always sitting together in one mass which makes it appear and sometimes sound like there are more. If you went to the concourse and looked though, the Aggies filled up their sections fairly well but were also sprinkled around the entire arena.

Sometimes in the lower bowl it feels like any sound coming from the opposite side is much louder than anything being generated on the side you are sitting on. I had several Lobo fans comment after the game about how loud the Aggies were compared to them so I think it just depends on your perspective of where you're sitting.

I think this was about as good of a crowd as we have ever had. Championship will be amazing if we make it and get a couple more fans to come. I didn’t like our students split up. They should sit behind the band tonight to try and get all of them together. They don’t have tickets with seats so I understand it hard to take over a whole section but no one was right behind the band.

Lobos had more fans but not double. If anything they had less fans than they had last year. Their fan base is amazing though.

SDSU crowd was good. they will be really good for the championship if they make it.

UNLV crowd is alway ridiculously bad for being a home game.

Nevada was the most disappointing crowd I think. They usually are pretty good. Maybe they just expected to win the first game? They were too spread out too (like we usually are).
