Anyone know if he is going to play tomorrow?!

He must have crazy back issues right now after putting the entire team on his shoulders for those last ten minutes.

I honestly think Sam can make the NBA.

I’m not sure when this journey will end, but there’s no way Sam Merrill, one of the greatest Aggies ever, deserved to go out in the MWC Quarterfinals against freakin’ New Mexico in one of the worst officiated games I’ve ever seen. Big time player, happy for this team!

I really enjoyed watching Carroll, but Sam is on another level. By far the best Aggie I’ve watched. Carroll was an elite shooter, but Sam with his leadership and scoring ability makes him the best I’ve seen.

Sam's three to take the lead was unreal. His total game is the all-around best I've seen. And he stuck around through the Duryea years. Enough good can't be said about the guy.

We had better appreciate Sam for what little time we have left with him. We will never see another one like him. My favorite basketball player of all time. And it’s not remotely close.

Unbelievable, legendary game by Sam tonight. Just incredible.

No way we win that game. We were not dead and buried, we were dead and cremated. He willed us to victory. Unreal.

Yeah, I’m no expert, but Sam’s game tonight had NBA written all over it. That step back to draw the foul. The Isolation clutch 3 with good defense in his face. Getting to the free throw line over and over to swing momentum our way. No stage is too big for the kid. :notworthy:

He should have been at the line a lot more too. He got absolutely mauled over and over again in the first half and couldn’t get a call.

In all honesty, is there any way Sam Merrill gets invited to the NBA Combine? Any chance he could be drafted late 2nd round?

I have had season tickets since I graduated (gulp 15 years ago) and only miss one game or less per year. Sam is absolutely the greatest Aggie since I have been a fan. I can't speak for before my time, but it would be hard to find a more clutch player in the annals of the Aggie history.

Greatest Clutch Aggie of all time-and he's had to play against teams that maybe prior generations didn't...(I could be wrong but our schedules these past few years have been more difficult than the Stew years)

I don't know about that but Real Madrid will have an opening for a foreign shooting guard in a couple months. He would come in a Rock Star there just on Jaycees' reputation. A lot easier schedule on the body, star treatment, and pay better than the low end of NBA rosters.
