Sam = clutch

A crazy stat was shown during the game and I think it deserves more love than it got. Sam is a perfect 50/50 on free throws in the final minute of the game in his career. 100%. In addition to hitting clutch buckets when needed. What a stud.

Unbelievable stat. Truly clutch. The odds of a 90% free throw shooter making 50 straight in any situation is only 0.5%
Just for comparison, the odds that a 80% shooter would make 50 straight are .0014%, and a 70% FT shooter would be only 0.0000018%
The other stat I wasn't aware of that I heard last night was that all of his 30+ point games have been on the road. Clutch.

Sam was so close to being perfect from the line (over his career) in the final minute of the game. Too bad he couldn't get the 1st one to drop last night.

Extremely clutch but he did miss one free throw in the final minute. Just setting up for a more amazing moment though.

I thought of this thread/stat immediately when he missed. Made the final shot even better. Had he ever made a game winner before that last shot? Two career shots in the last minute.

It's funny, because if he had made that FT, we'd be up one after Flynn's miss and they'd have fouled us after we got the rebound. Sam never would have been able to take THE SHOT.

And when it boils down to the FT game it usually doesn’t go well for us.
