Blowout boise
Boise is no where near the team we are. Really a shame that we had that collapse. Payback tonight.

Re: Blowout boise
The reason the Boise game sucks so bad is that we had a dominant 36 minutes and a once-in-a-lifetime collapse in the final 4 (not counting OT.)
There's a point in every game where a team who's trailing needs for every single thing to go right until the end of the game in order to win. Doesn't normally happen when you're down by 18 with 3:36 to go, but that's what happened in Boise, where: Dennis, who hadn't scored more than 10 points in a D1 game turns into Reggie Miller and scores 19 in 3 minutes...an Aggie team which has been fairly solid in breaking the press suddenly seems like they've never seen one...Alston has to hit two amazing 10.0 degree-of-difficulty shots against rock solid defense by Bean and Miller after being held in check most of the night...a so-so shooting Boise team goes 8-8 from the field and 9-9 from the line in the last 4:15...meanwhile the Ags can't find the basket even once...and committed six turnovers in the last 4 minutes after committing only 12 in the first 36...the Broncs never led for a second in regulation.
Any one of those things doesn't happen exactly the way it did, and this would have been one of those "no such thing as a bad W" games.
Maybe one of those things will ever happen again, but not all of them together -- every Boise fan should commit this to memory as the Greatest Four Minutes In Bronco Basketball History, and tell their grandchildren about it. Our guys dominated them on their home court for 36 minutes -- I'm confident we'll have 40 good ones tonight at home.

Re: Blowout boise
What I think adds alot more fuel to the fire is that it happened THIS year when we think we are good and while we were still contending for an at-large bid. It wouldn't be as big of deal if this happened any of the years that we sucked and knew we sucked and the horse was out of the barn. Even such a loss in the spectrum one of those years, while devastating, would not have been half as big of a deal. The other scenario that would make this less of a big deal is if we hadn't lost the Air Force and UNLV games leaving us with some breathing room for a bad loss, or happened another year where we have enough quality wins and few enough bad losses to be safely in and afford one bad loss.OKAggie wrote: ↑February 8th, 2020, 8:50 amThe reason the Boise game sucks so bad is that we had a dominant 36 minutes and a once-in-a-lifetime collapse in the final 4 (not counting OT.)

While the Pacific overrated loss was bad, we already knew we needed to win the Big West Tournament to go to the dance that year.
