SDSU up to #7
They were clearly the more athletic team and hit the clutch shots that eluded us...but considering how poorly we shot from 3 and FT we are ALMOST every bit as good IF we can get healthy. Hopefully we can put ourselves into a position we can get an-large but that gives us little margin for error at this point and also relies on LSU, Florida, St. Mary's, BYU, UNLV to all perform in conference play. If the Aztecas stay in the top 10, I would hope the MWC would merit at least 2 teams in and that it be us.

They should be higher. Auburn is undefeated and there best win is Mississippi State and they are #5. If you look at SOS and win margin, they should be ranked top 3 no doubt. NET takes that into account and they are #1. AP is a popularity contest.

I saw a headline that said that SDSU was short-handed when they played us. Who was missing from their roster?

They were short Mensah and Arop. Mensah would have played when Wetzell went out.newhouse9 wrote:I saw a headline that said that SDSU was short-handed when they played us. Who was missing from their roster?

Re: SDSU up to #7
This is correct. Mensah and Arop are solid players especially on the defensive side of the ball. When they are healthy SDSU can play with pretty much anyone in the country.scotlandog wrote: ↑January 6th, 2020, 12:24 pmThey were short Mensah and Arop. I hope so. We don't have an answer for him. He went wherever he wanted to go.TrueAggieman wrote: ↑January 6th, 2020, 1:30 pmThey are going to be very good next year too . Is Flynn going to go the NBA after this year?

Re: SDSU up to #7
FWIW, I just heard Doug Gottlieb say on the radio that SDSU would be his number 1 team...
