Looked to me like we held Ford in check best with Brito on him in man. When we went to a switching man to man he went off. His big run came against Miller, Anderson, Porter, Bean, Merrill, Dorius and Brito all getting caught out of position or going under screens. I don't remember it just being Porter getting beat.

In the first half Ford had like 2 or 4 points. Ford is an all conference WCC player, the dude is legit.

Best post of the night. We lost to a top 30 team on the road. There is no reason to soak in our sorrows or try and place blame on anyone. Hopefully aside from Florida we can win the rest of the non conference games.

I hope we win the Florida game

Will be tough “neutral” game in Florida but our non conference schedule will be pretty weak and we are going to need that W

I was proud of the effort and how we stayed in this game down Queta, Kuba, and essentially Bean in the first half. Guys played hard and our defensive effort gave us a chance. We were outgunned tonight in enemy territory against a top 50 opponent. No shame in coming up just short.

Just split with BYU and Florida and win one of the games against SDSU and we’ll be fine.

If we can’t do that, we’re gonna have some seeding issues.

No we lost because we kept running under the screen on their shooter.

Felt like Britto was more careless with the ball than Porter. Anderson not doing anything on offense is what really hurt. As mentioned Beans foul trouble as they couldn't guard him. Felt like Bairstow should have played a bit more. His energy and length seemed to be effective.

How about the play where the St. Mary’s player gets a rebound dribbles the baseline and Both feet go out of bounds and the ref doesn’t see it and they hit a 3?

We also gave up a bunch of second chance points especially in the first half. Not having our two best bigs killed us.

I think you're posting in the wrong forum. Good luck trying to find better coaches for us in bball. All joking aside, how many Coaches out there are better than the Captain?

One thing that really hurt was the 2nd chance points in the first half we gave up. We gave like 10-12 extra points. We could have built a a sizeable lead with those rebounds.

This is one of the few intelligent posts on the game. Shame on all you armchair coaches who want to throw this player or that under the bus. We're playing shorthanded at St. Marys against a team that's been on fire. They have two guys that have been lights out for the past 6 games and we have our two best bigs out, two guards on gimpy ankles, and our mojo man on the bench with three fouls and yet seem surprised we didn't win. Here's a newsflash for you ... we're going to lose some games this year and it's not going to be Fonzo's fault or Porter's fault or even the coach's because he didn't call a time out when you thought he should. Based on your rationale, Duke should get rid of their do nothing players and get a real team.
