Montana State Highlights (Breakdown)
https://watchstadium.com/videos/no-17-u ... tate-2019/
This is a collection of the best Aggie plays from MSU game last night.
Favorite parts:
0:40 - Miller has a nice feed to Dorus after a pick and roll for an and one. We need to do more of these!
1:00 - Kubas TRI- fecta block! Hopefully we see this a lot!
2:04 - Anderson with a clean swipe and then bucket on the other end. I believe this sparked a run for the Aggies. Anderson's physicality will be a great addition for the season.
2:15 - Merrill with a sweet feed to Bean for an easy dunk. Teams will looking to collapse on Merrill all the time, and Merrill has good vision, so I expect more of this.
2:35 - Miller with a clutch 3! When he is hot, he can be hot! Love the drive then kick out. Miller should look to drive more this year though.

Good find Thunder!
I dare say there probably isn’t anyone in the country that ends up on their backside as often as Sam after driving to the basket. Amazing how many of those he actually finishes.

I don’t like it. Like you said, hard to fault our best player when he does so many things well.MrBiggle wrote: ↑November 6th, 2019, 8:32 pmIt drives me crazy! but i cant fault him too much, he is our best player.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑November 6th, 2019, 8:29 pmGood find Thunder!

Sometimes the refs might be more likely to call a foul but other times it causes Sam to be slower getting back on D. I can’t remember any USU player in the past 20 years that has been “knocked” to the floor as much as Sam.

Re: Montana State Highlights (Breakdown)
Look closely. Sam get's fouled and pushed on these plays. He is really good at wriggling into the rim, extending over or around the defender and causing the defender to make contact, or creating space while falling backwards. The contact coupled with the extension or the fallback cause a legit imbalance, often resulting in a fall to the floor. I have no problem with that. The only worry I have is that one of these falls to the floor could end up in a wrist, elbow or back injury, but not enough worry to stop attempting the plays.
Re: Montana State Highlights (Breakdown)
In years past our two point baskets were post up shots from bigs. Now we have an offense we’re the majority of our two point baskets around the rim are created with guard penetration. Ya Sam end up on his back a lot but so do a lot of guards throughout college basketball. Sam has embraced “like the three love the two.”I have no problem if he ends up on his back. Better than trying to land on his feet and twisting an ankle.Pacobag wrote: ↑November 6th, 2019, 9:25 pmI don’t like it.
