Of note, he has Florida as a 2 seed and LSU as a 9 seed. This would indicate that we are predicted to get a higher seed than everyone on our schedule except for Florida.

It makes sense if we avoid any bad losses like last year. Last year our worst loss was at byu. We had no bad losses in conference. That was something impressive about last year's team is they didn't lose to teams they shouldn't have lost to. Avoiding bad losses is key for getting a good seed.

Last year you finished first in your conference, won the MW tourney, had a top 25 win and no bad losses. You got an 8.
If you can win 2 or 3 of your tougher ooc matchups, you could get up to a 6.. The MW rarely gets a higher seed than that

Nevada would have got higher had they not blown it down the stretch.

When they were 24-1 all the bracketology had them as a better seed. Had they not lost to SDSU twice and USU they get a top 4 seed. San Diego State was a 4seed in 2014.

Nevada had no good wins* and a couple of bad losses..Mid majors can get a 4 seed if they really earn it. They don't give a top seed like that just because a mid major has a good record..
*The win over USU in Reno was good but not great at the time..
You did have a win over a top 10 team and got an 8. Top 4 seeds are really hard to get for any school..For mid majors it is even harder.. No shame..Just the way it is.
