BYU Yoeli Childs suspended for 9 games

I guess the NCAA said he didn't file proper paperwork, and has to sit 9 games.
This obviously affects USU. Doesn't USU play BYU without Yoeli now?

Last year BYU played their 9th game on December 1. We play them on December 14. I'm guessing he'll be back.

How do you not read the rules when deciding to "test the waters?" Seems lame that the NCAA has such a long penalty for a paperwork issue, but you'd think BYU would have walked him through the process.

I'm guessing they knew the rules but he was 100% against returning to school at the time so they didn't take the time to file the paperwork. Then they get a persistent new coach that changes his mind.Aggie_CEE wrote:How do you not read the rules when deciding to "test the waters?"
