Looks like we've got Florida in December. Part of the Orange Bowl Classic. 2 SEC teams this year.

LSU in Jamaica.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 11:44 amIt’ll be nice to have so many people who hate our opponent at a game that many of us won’t make it to.
2 SEC teams?
Given our preseason position, only the Florida game would be an upset. We are consistently ranked above LSU and St Mary’s. Now having said that, all games will be very tough and we could lose all 3. LSU I’m Jamaica might be our best shot at winning one of these. At St Mary’s will be very tough though we did matchup well with them last year. Florida will be very difficult but will really give us ‘Tournament’ game experience. Their size and athleticism is what we will see in the tournament and we need more opportunities to prepare ourselves. This is a great one along with LSU.Aggie84025 wrote:This is fantastic. I think we can win the St. Mary's game. The other 2 would be big upsets if we were to win them. Either way the LSU and Florida games are neutral court games against sure fire quad 1 teams. So long as we play well and don't get blown out of the water they will not hurt the resume.
LSU finished the season ranked 15th last year. They have great coaching and players and it will be difficult to win that game. Hopefully we can pull it off.scotlandog wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 2:07 pmGiven our preseason position, only the Florida game would be an upset. We are consistently ranked above LSU and St Mary’s. That was a fun game to hear and a tough loss. We had a bunch of new pieces on the team like Daniels and Rock and Jorssen. That Florida team ended up losing in the national championship game.
This is exactly why I didn't hate the idea of facing Iowa State in Des Moines, or any other team close to their home. Cause a game close to our opponent's home is also close to the home of fans who hate them.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑July 26th, 2019, 11:44 amIt’ll be nice to have so many people who hate our opponent at a game that many of us won’t make it to.
From what I understand, there are possibly 2 home games and one more neutral site game in the works.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑July 28th, 2019, 4:47 pmWasn’t there talk of a game against an Arizona team being in the works, or am I crazy?
I would imagine our SID office messed this one up.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑July 30th, 2019, 7:02 pmIt should also be pointed out that Rhode Island released yesterday that they are playing LSU on 11/22. We originally thought that USU was playing them on 11/24. No idea who's actually correct right now.
It's definitely a reasonable assumption. Rhode Island did also make another mistake in their release saying that they would be playing either Utah State or North Texas for the 2nd round but this isn't a bracketed tournament and the match-ups are already set so who knows.aggies22 wrote: ↑July 30th, 2019, 7:07 pmI would imagine our SID office messed this one up.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑July 30th, 2019, 7:02 pmIt should also be pointed out that Rhode Island released yesterday that they are playing LSU on 11/22. Coach Smith mentioned at the Scottsdale roadshow that they were working on a game with some Arizona ties. I don’t remember if he specifically said in Arizona or against an Arizona team or both. But he also said it was close to a done deal and we would probably hear about it soon... so maybe it fell through or maybe it’s just taking longer to finalize than he thought or maybe his idea of soon is different than mine? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ineptimusprime wrote:Wasn’t there talk of a game against an Arizona team being in the works, or am I crazy?

Is this your way of saying you know more about the OOC Schedule but can't share? Or are you just barely reading this thread?
So would it be against Houston or against another team (P5) in neutral venue?JonnyCienPesos wrote: ↑August 4th, 2019, 6:28 pmThere should be at least one other neutral site game against a P5 team. Possibly in Houston.

I took it as a sarcastic response to your speculation that the Arizona school may be Grand Canyon University, though I may be WAY off base. In fairness, Grand Canyon wouldn't be a bad addition to the schedule. The Antelopes have had a winning record for each of the past 5 seasons and have been either in the top 100 or just outside of it each of the last 4 seasons.
Agreed. My comment was somewhat facetious since the only Arizona schools that were being mentioned were PAC-12 schools, but I agree... Grand Canyon wouldn't be a bad get. But I have zero insider knowledge on who we might be scheduling.ChicAggie wrote: ↑August 5th, 2019, 11:46 amI took it as a sarcastic response to your speculation that the Arizona school may be Grand Canyon University, though I may be WAY off base. I wonder how everyone will react when they announce a neutral site game against NAUtreesap32 wrote: ↑August 5th, 2019, 1:06 pmAgreed.
