Not sure why the AP hasn't posted the poll yet but NevadaSportsNet did.

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll
Being ranked in the last AP poll means sooo much more than any other time. Shows who played the best when looking at the entire year. Proud to be an AGGIE....and we are not done!
Side Note: We are one of 4 teams to be ranked in the final AP polls in both college basketball and college football. The other teams are LSU, Kentucky, and Michigan. Truly amazing! Who would have thought that last summer before both sports seasons...

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll
Nice rewards coming in for Coach Smith. There may be other incentives, but he's up to $60,000 extra. $25000 each for being co-champs and winning tournament, and now an extra $10000 for being in top 25 in AP poll.

Wait a minute. For some reason that ESPN link has reverted back to last weeks. I hope the link Provo posted is correct.
Edit: Now it's back to the updated version...just another tech glitch I guess.

To lazy to look it up on my phone but doesn't Smith get $10,000 for being coach of the year as well?

You are correct. My contract reading is similar to others who shall remain nameless.Coloraggie wrote: ↑March 18th, 2019, 11:31 amTo lazy to look it up on my phone but doesn't Smith get $10,000 for being coach of the year as well?

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll
The AP typically releases at 10:00 but today it wasn't until after 11:00. I'm guessing that ESPN jumped the gun and reverted until the AP was ready.
Looking at the ballots, one had us as high as 17 with 37 not voting for us. You can see who voted for USU here: https://collegepolltracker.com/basketba ... ggies/2018

What a year! Thank you Aggie players and coaches for all the great memories in both football and basketball. Let's make a few more in basketball though shall we?

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll
Is it safe to assume Coach Smith also has a bonus clause for winning an NCAA tournament game?

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll
So based on those numbers he's at $720,000 so far this year? That's not bad for a first year coach! Still needs to be higher, but not bad.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑March 18th, 2019, 4:28 pmHe get's $20k for each win in the NCAA Tourney. Here are all of his bonuses:

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll
Unbelievable. I still feel like I’m dreaming. Football was not a total shocker from a win perspective but they way they played really was. There were multiple times when I turned to my friends and family to ask if I was really seeing what I was seeing.
Basketball, on the other hand, has been a shocker in every possible way from the very beginning. The chances of us winning the regular season, the tournament, getting an 8 seed and being ranked in the Top 25 were about on par with pigs flying, dinosaurs returning to roam the earth and the lion laying down with lamb.
Just completely unbelievable. I’m sure I will never see it’s equal again.

I couldn't agree more! I don't know if I just had extremely low expectations to start the season or what but this has been one for the books!
