Musselman on ESPN SVP, anybody have a link?
I was at the gym when I noticed Musselman was on ESPN's SVP. My audio wasn't working. Hoping somebody has a link to what they said. They showed the whole Court rush and Caroline blow up.

I turned it off when I saw he was coming on. I don't care what he has to say. He's a self promoting, cover his own (I can't express myself without swearing) liar. Doesn't matter what he said, it wasn't going to be the truth anyway. Just like his old lady. But that's just me

Was that taken during warmups? He looks to calm for it to be during a game.
I'd pay good money for someone to make a giant binky and chuck it at his feet in the tournament. Dude is a grade A jack wing right there with Jim Boylen.

Oh come on. We all would’ve taken him. It’s not like he’s not a good coach.

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

Are people really saying we shouldn't? He has done a great job with the Nevada program. He would have been a home run hire in 2015 had we been able to get him.ususports wrote: ↑March 9th, 2019, 10:21 amWe should have hired him, right guys?

Winning is fine, but I find his whining, side line theatrics, coaches box violations and shirt removal ridiculous. Would not be a fan of his personal behavior. Would the spectrum cheer his shirt removal or would the ad office permit it?

Could he have recruited the same types to Logan and he has to Reno? 2 different environments. Not a put down to Logan but rather a statement about Reno.

Re: Musselman on ESPN SVP, anybody have a link?
You may be right, but there is a difference in winning and building a winning program. John L. was a winner; GA built a winning program at USU. Musselman is the former and I don't think his model is sustainable. Reminds me of Eustachy. Smith was a home run hire and I'd take him over Muss any day.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑March 11th, 2019, 6:25 pmAre people really saying we shouldn't? The ad office at the Spectrum would permit it. Good thing he wasn't at Taco Bell Arena because they would have kicked him out for removing his shirt.WAAggie wrote: ↑March 11th, 2019, 6:50 pmWinning is fine, but I find his whining, side line theatrics, coaches box violations and shirt removal ridiculous. Re: Musselman on ESPN SVP, anybody have a link?
I love Craig Smith, but in the context of when we made a coaching change in 2015, Musselman would have been a great hire. Nobody would be disputing that the last few years. He has now won 3 regular season titles in a row and will probably win in the ncaa tournament for a 2nd straight year. I'd say he has built a winning program. He will probably leave Nevada, maybe after this year, but unless you get lucky with a guy like Stew, coaches leave. Part of the deal.AngusAg wrote: ↑March 11th, 2019, 7:18 pmYou may be right, but there is a difference in winning and building a winning program. Fair enough, can't argue 3 titles in a row. Just not a Musselman fan.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑March 11th, 2019, 8:35 pmI love Craig Smith, but in the context of when we made a coaching change in 2015, Musselman would have been a great hire. Re: Musselman on ESPN SVP, anybody have a link?
Does he seem like a coach that puts the student in student athlete? He may be great at that also, but my gut says winning is a much higher priority. Maybe all his seniors will graduate in time. The all have a full year of waiting due to transfer rules.

No way he sticks around any longer. He cannot sustain what he has built and I'm glad USU did not hire him. I wonder how long it will be before he gets nailed for major violations. He can win, but it is a lot like John L.

no mafia money in Logan...
six ( or more) players are mercenaries, he could not recruit incoming freshman and build a program, this is not sustainable.

Re: Musselman on ESPN SVP, anybody have a link?
They lose a ton, but they have some talented freshman and transfers that aren't playing plus Larry Drew will be back from his achilles next year. They won't be as good as this year, but they will still be tough in league.

Re: Musselman on ESPN SVP, anybody have a link?
4 years of 24 straight wins, 3 straight regular season titles. He is a good coach. If he stays at Nevada, my bet is he continues to win at a high level. The program was in bad shape similar to ours before Smith and he immediately came in and has sustained it.sammyhagar wrote: ↑March 12th, 2019, 8:12 amno mafia money in Logan...

Musselman is a good coach. We would take him on our sidelines as well. It's just part of being a fan. You have to hate the good coaches.

I’m not offended by the F word and use it from time to time. I however wouldn’t use it when cameras are rolling and I know I’m on national tv with kids watching. Nor would I take my shirt off. Even worse take my shirt off and have my wife write something on me in front of my kids.ratofallaggies wrote:The outrage of a coach using the F word in a locker room!

Who?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Who is making a big deal? I simply posted a video on usu fans and then when someone made a comment I stated my opinion.
