It’s definitely coming back. And the locals stood up almost every timeout (at least a good amount of them)!

For the first time in a long time I couldn’t hear myself screaming (after Brown’s dunk) and there were almost tears of joy.

Let’s reflect. It’s been at least 6 years since true magic. Stew was amazing but didn’t go into homes recruiting. He was worn but he and Ladell
We’re the 2 best coaches I’ve seen here
Stew’s last 3 yrs it dwindled. Timmy ruined the spirit and attendance
Yep. Magic again. And coach understands how to get crowd cheering. It will be even better Saturday night. Thanks to all who came out. Had to mute my hearing aud

The dunk by Brown and the charge draw that followed was the moment the Spectrum was brought back from the dead!

Congrats on a great win. I just hope Nevada shows up tomorrow and takes care of business. I have always admired the spectrum, and Saturday is going to be insane. The pack is 0-2 in really tough environments....will it be 0-3? Welcome back baggies, Craig Smith is a winner.

That was the loudest I’ve heard the Spectrum in 8 years. Not gonna lie. I got a lump in my throat.pablohoney wrote: ↑February 26th, 2019, 10:30 pmThe dunk by Brown and the charge draw that followed was the moment the Spectrum was brought back from the dead!

Re: Students for SDSU
So attendance about 8,200; students attendance was about 2,700. Nothing to brag about people, but trending the right direction. With that said, I'd sell 500 stand-by tickets to fill into the student section for Saturday. The students will not have 4,000 go through the card reader -- prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

Re: Students for SDSU
I knew this old guy who was puttering around his yard when he fell and broke his hip. He laid there calling for someone to help him for 3 hours when his neighbor behind him came home from lunch and heard him. The neighbor called an ambulance, then called his office and cancelled his afternoon meetings so that he could stay with the old guy until family could arrive.
The old guy was really mad at the neighbor for not getting there sooner and for calling the ambulance and making a big fuss.

Re: Students for SDSU
What has happened to the corner behind the band? That video made it look like their were two different seating sections for the students that are not connected anymore. The seats being removed is horrid but are they selling the seats up behind the band to the general public?

That is still the student section. It just doesn't fill in.Aglicious wrote:What has happened to the corner behind the band? Re: Students for SDSU
Absolutely no one is bragging about the number of students. We are bragging about the energy that of what students showed up displayed. The energy was far none best it had been in years. That is worth bragging about. That type of bragging will help encourage excitement into the program.USUBlue wrote:So attendance about 8,200; students attendance was about 2,700. Re: Students for SDSU
I felt like the spectrum was rocking last night! Super fun atmosphere and loud. That is the first time my ears have felt like that in a long time after an Aggie game. Plus I sound like I have a sore throat today, but really it’s just cause I was being so loud.
Despite not being sold out, the spectrum felt like it used to when I was a student, granted it would have been standing room only 10 years ago but times change. Anyway, Saturday’s game is gonna be a fun atmosphere. I really hope all the season ticket holders show up, and if not then they should sell or give their tickets away. Walking out last night I heard a lot of people talking about either having tickets for Saturday or not being sure if they could get tickets.
Go AGGIES!

You are right; the students energy was good last night. Never said it wasn't; just thought more would show up for free.bigblue wrote: ↑February 27th, 2019, 12:59 pmAbsolutely no one is bragging about the number of students. Re: Students for SDSU
From Colorado it sounded like the students did a really good job. There's still room for improvement, but moving in the right direction!
Two notes: First, thank you for starting the "Ball don't lie" chant during free throws. I don't care what the actually impetus was for it, I'm a nameless face on the internet who mentioned it once in a different thread so I'm going to take credit for starting that. That's my chant now.
Second, I thought the crowd did a really good job of making noise. They didn't let cheers get in the way of exciting moments and they kept up the general "oooooooooohhhhhhhh" noise during defense. Good job!

Re: Students for SDSU
I enjoy the spirit squad and all but there were at least two timeouts that the crowd was going nuts and the spirit squad came out onto the floor to perform and the crowd automatically died, because the announcer announces the spirit squad
. What i would like to see is that the crowd keeps going nuts until they stop it themselves and then the spirit squad performs. it seems to cut short a great crowd response!
