Ready, Willing and Abel!!
Great shot, great kid, great story -- walk-on, making of the most of his chances while Ainge got his shot, playing to his strengths, becomes a starter, hits the game-winner in the Pit, and gets a scholly in the process.
Admittedly the over-and-back call was a mistake, but bad calls generally even out after 40 minutes, so we probably had one coming Porter played great defense, passed well (the CBSSN guys were comparing him to Chocolate Thunder. Maybe a reach, but he does have good vision and floor sense), and of course nutted up with :01.3.
When's the last time we won a game on a (near) buzzer beater? Feels like a long time ago.

Re: Ready, Willing and Abel!!
Seems like we have had some less likely candidates scoring games winners on the road. Porter, Henson and Colette at Boise (his was just odd because it was a 3). Today’s was fun. Game winners are awesome even on TV.

Cool to see that Porter didn't celebrate the shot until the dead ball. Others were jumping and heading up the court, but Abel was focused on the ball being inbounded.
Great game-winning shot. But a real show of composure after the shot as well.

Uhh, chocolate thunder was Darrell Dawkins. They were comparing him to Jason Williams, the white point guard, not sure how chocolate describes a white guy.

Jason Williams was known as White Chocolate. The announcers briefly compared Abel to him.Coloraggie wrote: ↑January 27th, 2019, 8:22 pmUhh, chocolate thunder was Darrell Dawkins. They were comparing him to Jason Williams, the white point guard, not sure how chocolate describes a white guy.

That pass that Porter made was the pass of the year. In fact, he had two amazing passes right in a row. I was stunned. Great game by Abel.

Re: Ready, Willing and Abel!!
I agree. The 2 passes that Abel has yesterday were 2 of the best i have seen by an Aggie in a Long time! Both to Quinn and both were in my opinion as impressive as his ice in veins three. If we can consistently get that kind of platform Abel, we will be tough to beat.
