RULES & INFO:

How does it work? It's simple.. Before each game you pick the outcome of the game (e.g. USU 78, USC 65). Points are awarded based on participation and accuracy. There will be an autographed memorabilia item at the end of the contest for the player with the highest score.

Here is the breakdown of how points are awarded:

Picking any outcome = 1 point
Picking the correct winning team = 2 bonus points
Closest to final spread (higher or lower) while picking correct winning team = 2 bonus points
Picking the winning team and exact spread = 2 bonus points
Picking the exact score for 1 team = 1 bonus point
Picking the exact score for both teams = 3 bonus points

So for a single game, the most points a player can score is 10 by picking the exact score for each team (1 point for participating, 2 bonus points for correct team, 2 bonus points for being closest to final spread, 2 bonus points for picking the winning team and exact spread, 3 bonus points for picking exact score for both teams).

In the event of a tie for a single game (more than 1 user makes the same pick, or is within the same amount of points from the final outcome), all those who are tied will be awarded the bonus points.

Score predictions can be updated at any time up until gametime for each game. Any scores updated after gametime, or scores that do not specify at a minimum the winning team will be disqualified.

The Game Picker will end once the Aggies season is over (it will include conference tournaments and postseason games). In the event of a tie, the player who is tied for first who comes the closest to predicting the final spread on the final game of the season will be the winner.

I (or someone else) will create a Game Picker thread a few days before each game, and pin it to the top of this board. Once the game is complete, that Game Picker thread will be moved to The Quad Forum for archival. The Quad Forum will also house Game Picker threads for upcoming games if you prefer to make your choices in advance.

Points will be tracked by me and/or ProvoAggie in a Google Drive spreadsheet (until something better comes along), and updates will be given periodically (no promises on frequency).

Though I am not sure if there is still an autographed memorabilia prize, but you do get the recognition on a tag under your avatar.
Also, I have only been creating the threads just after the previous game. I am not as diligent as Treesap in creating them all before hand. Mostly, I can't move them around and don't want them getting lost in the bb and fb forums.
