Not sure if I saw it posted but Cal transfer forward Grant Newell was on campus yesterday for a visit. On his way to SLU for a visit now.

True. Is he a center? Maybe it doesn’t matter between a 4 or 5.

I did see a recruit on campus in a golf cart with coach calhoun and eric brown. going off the list of offers @aggies22 has put up, i'd say he looked like either D'Maurian Williams or Sebastian Thomas

Kids these days are so coddled they can't even walk around campus, they have to be escorted via golf cart

I like Sebastian's tape. Great vision, good passer, scores in a variety of ways. Handles are good.

The player on campus yesterday was the Stetson 7’ center from Belgium. He would give us more length and much more versatility than Sakho. He would be a nice pickup.

I’m sure he wants a starting job somewhere but what an upgrade he would be over Sakho. IIRC he had at least 7 schools on his interest list.

That would be a huge pickup. Would add another dimension to our offense where we could choose what kind of big man we want to play and change the game at any given moment.

Really hope Osobor comes back, but it would soften the blow of losing him and Agbonkpolo if we could land both Gateretse (stetson C) and Newell (Cal F).

Having those two come to campus also puts some pressure on Great and Ian to make up their minds while there’s still roster spots available.

A big physical post player is going to be very sorely missed in MWC play if we don’t land one here in the portal. I believe we will (no sources lol)

It would be funny to get that Stetson player and then bring back Shulga and Martinez.
We would have Costa Rica, Ukraine, England, Bahamas, and Belgium covered for international players.

I will say GCU is a weird choice, they must have a really impressive NIL fund.

They also have a really good fanbase. Their home games are always packed.

They have so much money. They chartered a flight to the NCAA tournament game for 200 students to attend it.

They also don't have to fund a football program so they have the cash for basketball.
