This post will certainly age poorly…

Post by ineptimusprime » February 4th, 2025, 7:20 pm

But damnit, I hate this team right now. We are playing with the energy of Jeb Bush. And how many times does Aubin have to prove he can’t handle a post entry pass before we stop throwing them to him? Every time I look he’s getting scored on or turning it over.

Hard to believe what I’m watching. More 22, less 21. Figure out how to get Anderson going. Perhaps less minutes for Mason. Hoping for great second half.

Coach needs to stop with all the subs. The second we get a rhythm he subs out 3 guys. It’s shorten the rotation season, coach.

Had a worse FG, 3pt, and Free Throw percentage, and still won. Find a way

Yup. We’re in a funk right now but we’re still fighting and still got a win in a tough game. I’ll take it. We’ll get things sorted soon enough.

I think the league has figured out that Falslev won't shoot a jump shot and he doesn't seem able to catch and shoot. So, that leaves drive to the basket with some sort of a circus shot to finish.

Paging Gamefaqs. When is the last time we had back to back games where we didn’t have a single starter hit a 3?

As bad as some of the announcers have been on the MW Network I have to give props to the Wyoming announcers. Very fair and balanced with good insight.

It’s time to go to man to man defense, at least 65% of the time. Wyoming had a ton of open 3s and missed them and they still out shot us.

I mean Wyoming was running man-to-man and we had lots of wide open threes as well that we just missed. Running Man to man you can still get wide open threes. I do think we need to switch up our defenses more and not strictly stay with the zone as much as we have.

And 90% of his drives and points came when he was going to his right.

Good grief. You should have let the title of your own post clue you in. If you can’t appreciate this group of guys then save yourself some heartburn and get off the wagon. Sports are too much for you. Epically dumb post.

A big part of the problem with the post entry passes, most big guys have notoriously bad hands, keep the damn ball chest high or higher and that would eliminate a lot of the turnovers. Learned this a long time ago, thanks to high school coach. And no bounce passes unless you know they have good hands.

With one exception and that was when they changed the foul call on a rebound from Akanno to Wyoming. Watching the replay, Akanno has inside position, the Wyoming guy wraps his arms around Akanno, tackles him and throws him to the ground. The Wyoming announcers say they didn't see anything in the replay that would indicate that one ref should have overruled the other. What they should have said is how on earth did the first ref make that call to begin with. Other than that they were fine.

They are in a slump they will find their magic again I just hope sooner rather than later.

The team is solid. My only two complaints are free throws and Templin (who I think is great) needs to tone it down from the three point line. Pound it inside more man and take like maybe one three a game.

I will be at the CSU game in Ft. Collins on March 1st. Hopefully we can get them at home before that!

You've solved your own riddle. Dumbassery on the internet is the rule, not the exception. When people make posts like this, they are blowing off steam. They are not under illusions that they've created something beautiful or rational. This isn't an academic symposium, it's an internet fan forum.
