Looks Like Urban Meyer Has Officialy Retired Again

Wonder if he'd take a low stress job on our coaching staff? ;)

He'd make a good QB coach...

There is more talk about the Miss State coach (former Florida OC under Meyer) to return to Florida.

I would like to see Mullens get the Florida job (just because I think Whit would more likely go to Fla than Miami). The Fla pres is the old Ewe pres so he could come a calling for Whit too. I would prefer Mullens to Fla, Whit stay put so we can have GA for a few more years.

I don't know what this means. If you're insinuating that Utah would take Gary Anderson I'm not so sure. What has he accomplished (in wins and losses) at USU? We can pretty much all agree that there has been progress but 2010 was a major let down. At this point I'm not too worried about teams lining up to take our coach.

BTW, this isn't meant with any disrespect to coach A. Just a statement of where things are currently at.

You know that there would be no backlash from the Ewe faithful if they hired GA. His record hasn't shown it, but they all know him and his abilities.

Gary would jump if given the opportunity. The pukes would take him in a heartbeat.

His two-year record has DOUBLE the wins that BG had after two years.

Gary would leave for Utah in a heartbeat. That would be fine though. Baldwin is more than qualified to be our head coach. He is going to be our Head Coach sooner or later, might as well be now. He needs to get a quality DC, because our current one is a joke, but it will happen.

Our current one, as of a few days ago, is Gary Andersen.

Retirement might be Newtonian

Post by Blue Away » December 12th, 2010, 11:23 am

No one has said this that I know of, but I think it all goes back to Cam Newton. There is smoke all over the SEC related to Cam. He will win the BCS title with Auburn, but Florida and Auburn will wind up hurt by this scandal, maybe even Mississippi State. Coach Meyer can read defenses and tea leaves very well. He's outta their. And Cam will sign with the Raiders, the (Cleveland) Ravens or some other honorably run NFL team.
