Why did we burn it all down?
Briggs is a head scratcher to me because he was only a starter for one game and while he was a good player the two prior years he didn’t exactly light the world on fire so either he got an NIL deal or Bronco cut him. I can’t figure why you’d leave a starting job otherwise especially when your main competition is already in the portal (I might have the timeline wrong on Turner)
The rest though, Tia, Teague, Page, Monney. All nice players but all pretty replaceable imo. Losing Turner hurts the most but Jameson looked great in limited reps.

Yes. I'm not so sure they will be as easily replaced as you think they will be. As I was saying, they are getting P4 offers (Ok. State) or moving laterally (Fresno State). If those guys are good enough for those offers, we will struggle to replace them. That would be my point. We were a 4-8 team last year and frankly I’m not sure that we lost much that wasn’t replaceable.

Like I said, they were fine players but there’s no one you can’t live without. Page, Turner, and Monney were all 2nd-3rd string to start the year and only played because of injury. It won’t be hard to find replacements.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

Re: 2025 Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
The bottom line is we NEED to find the replacements and need to see who we are able to get as replacements before we jump to the conclusion that all is well. It's too early to say that all is well OR that all is lost.Hoot wrote: ↑December 24th, 2024, 10:36 pmThank you for saying that instead of basing your argument on something that was never said and then asking me to change what I said to fit the narrative you created. Good for Jaiden, lots of value can be had with a Duke education, if you're smart. Looks like he was studying for an MBA at USU.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑December 26th, 2024, 6:07 pmMaui is going to Southern Miss. JD Drew to Tulsa. Jaiden Francois to Duke.

Is Faison for sure staying in NCAA? I think he had Senior Bowl(or similar) invite -did he rescind his acceptance of that?

He had a good year but I always was nervous when a ball was thrown his direction. It seemed he dropped a lot of catchable balls.Aggies1888 wrote: ↑December 26th, 2024, 6:01 pmWish him the best of luck. Re: 2025 Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
Probably seeing if P4 schools can beat what he can make as a practice squad player as well as his chances of getting elevated to an active roster position and the check for at least a few weeks there. And weighing the risk of an injury hampering even his prospects of making an NFL practice squad.aggies22 wrote: ↑December 27th, 2024, 11:59 amI don't think he's completely made up his mind but he is currently fielding P4 offers.AGinNEIowa wrote: ↑December 27th, 2024, 11:57 amIs Faison for sure staying in NCAA? Re: 2025 Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
Rumor from strong source is he got paid $750,000 to go to UNC and play for Belichick. We are a farm system until we have a reproducible NIL to compete. Every year we will have a relatively new team. There is a lot of talent out there… so by no means is college football dead… but until there are more rules… we will always have a sizable amount of turnover as our players get bought.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑December 27th, 2024, 5:01 pmProbably seeing if P4 schools can beat what he can make as a practice squad player as well as his chances of getting elevated to an active roster position and the check for at least a few weeks there. Re: 2025 Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
There is go way in hell we’re ever going to compete in NIL. Even if every season ticket holder donated an extra $200, they would barely buy Faison. We’d still need a bunch of other guys to compete. Not to mention anything about basketball. Great would have cost us an extra $500 per ticket holder.
The reality is that we’re screwed.

Re: 2025 Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
His freshman year he had 40 tackles and showed a lot of promise.. in the last years he has been injured and has made 2 tackles. Knowing our luck he will stay completely healthy and be really good at BYU. Posters complain about production of players coming in but then are up in arms about losing a player that has not been able to stay healthy the last 2 years. I would have preferred he stayed at USU.

Apparently byu was impressed enough by him to think he can play in the Big 12.Chatman wrote:In three years he never really made an impact here. Was injury prone and wasn’t all that impressive when he played. IMO
The question becomes, is Kalani and Jay Hill right or is Bronco ?
