1. Yank scholarships
2. Kick them off the team
3. Kick them out of the dorms
4. They can finish out their semester but after that, good luck buddy
5. Burn all their gear

Any word on who’s planning on sitting out the rest of the year?
There are only a handful of defensive dudes that still have a redshirt season available. Those names are Simeon Harris, Jon Ross Maye, Gabe Peterson, Cian Slone, Colin Vaughn, and Taz Williams.
I know of one of those names that did not make the trip to Boise…

They’re all main rotation players on one of the worst defenses in college football, let them all go

Someone at the game can take note of what players are absent from pregame warmups.

No. If they quit they’re done. No dorm, no scollie, no NIL, stipends, nothing. They are gone.
Not how it works.

If they quit? How would it not be?
Scholarships are awarded annually per ncaa rules. Coaches can't just pull them in the middle of the year and kick them out of their house and school.

NCAA rules? I don’t understand.

Watching the game at work and am not able to pay super close attention. Do we have official names of those sitting now the game started?

So far no Taz Williams, Colin Vaughn or Simeon Harris.

Also no Robert Freeman or Herschel Turner.

Turner didn't play against Utah, did he? I think this game is #4 for him.

He didn’t get any carries but I’m pretty sure he played on kick return

I think that’s the wrong question.

Were the guys who were planning to quit convinced to stay?

It was acknowledged on the radio that there were rumors of this, and none of this was true.

Seems like just about everyone who was rumored to be quitting either played today or was reported as injured.

Interesting. I saw that Dreiling denied that in his postgame and GFA said Williams is supposedly out with injury. But I'm sure that could all be to preserve optics.

Go back and read again. I didn't say anyone specifically was "rumored". I provided a list of defensive players that have not used their redshirt season to give you guys an idea of who some of the players might be.

I certainly didn't mean this as a shot at you or your reporting, for the record. I was just genuinely curious, because I didn't notice many guys missing.

You're right my Aggie brother. There weren't many missing. It was never going to be an outright mutiny. It's still disappointing to see dudes choose this route.

It could easily have been a weak injury and dudes are deciding to hang this season up and take their redshirt.

one particular defensive player, who was a starter last year, for some reason isnt seeing the field like he feels he should be, he is a senior, so ask yourself, if this were me, do i want my career to end THIS WAY, or do i take my redshirt now and give myself another shot at finishing my college football career on a higher note....thats an EASY DECISION. Taking a redshirt, and then transfering..... you should be hunted for sport

If he's not good enough to start on this defense he'll have to drop to D2 to start.

Im just going to speak freely..... C.Sloan is getting shafted by a graduate assistant coach that favors his own recruits, Sloan is considering using his redshirt and let all the drama go with that coach since he should be gone next year. i see his point. i would do the same. We need Dreiling back in his comfort zone as DC and but if a new head coach is hired, all the coaches may be gone in a blink.

Cian has played in all five games. He's no longer eligible to utilize his redshirt year. Advising him to sit out would not be in his best interest.

It bothers me when he’s in he’s too skinny. No pressure when he’s out there
