That was an interesting read. Thanks for posting. A lot of guys “retired” from football on that list. It feels like we had a lot more transfers than that.

That is interesting and fun to see what happened to people. I remember being excited about some of them that just never materialized. What's the difference between Quit and Retired?

I chose to use "retired" if the player left football for what I felt was a legit reason, such as an injury or family issues. I decided to use "quit" if the player because they no longer wanted to pursue collegiate football.

I've got one for the offense. The defense has been missing double-digit dudes so while I have one for that as well, I feel like it's not complete. I haven't officially released either an offensive or defensive chart.

London Rockwood (PWO) – WR – Transferred to Utah Valley University (where he obviously quit playing fb since they don't have a football team at UVU).

Great update on that (Covid ‘20) group that had to persevere thru COVID-crud, no fans, a bad QB situation and GA/Frank show…..and just a one W season…wish we could have held onto that beast of an NFL RB who left after that year to OSU…..

That blame can be placed on the running backs coach we had at the time.

Never hire a guy from Weber.

It does seem like we have a disproportionate number of guys just stop playing football for whatever reason.

A lot of those guys were walk-ons. I would think just dropping football would be a bit more common with them than scholarship players.

Some were, but there were 8 scholarship guys or walk ons who made the 2 deep who just quit or retired. Seems like a lot to me.
