Scrimmage Starters
I read in an article that Coach Dreiling said that the 1st team offense and 1st team defense started out. Any surprises on either side anyone noticed?

Not the case on defense. There were a handful of starters that did not play.BleedBlue#9 wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 8:51 amI read in an article that Coach Dreiling said that the 1st team offense and 1st team defense started out. Any surprises on either side anyone noticed?
Briggs started at running back but from what I was told, Briggs had the strongest spring out of Briggs, Booth, and Faison.
Also, Otto Tia over Colby Bowman was a surprise. I'll see if that spot holds.

Re: Scrimmage Starters
Kinda bummer to hear the community support wasn’t there for FREE at their scrimmage but I guess if they don’t advertise it much or maybe it’s trying to strategize a bit with less optics on the team with so much having occurred and the changes over past few months; I dunno!
I know with a few of the #1’s on O they have Otto and Colby competing for Micah’s vacated spot. Colby brings speed and more experience and Otto brings size and wingspan for sure…Neither run routes like Micah; whom was also a talented slot if needed. I do hope they can fill in the special teams role that Micah provided them.
Also I know the O held out Jalen and Broc from the scrimmage and wanted them rested during this initial scrimmage and let others get reps, etc…and depth chart looks.

This program has a LONG way to go with the casual fan. Unfortunately this valley is FULL of casual fans.Fan4AggieballAZ wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 3:29 pmKinda bummer to hear the community support wasn’t there for FREE at their scrimmage but I guess if they don’t advertise it much or maybe it’s trying to strategize a bit with less optics on the team with so much having occurred and the changes over past few months; I dunno!

If it wasn’t our anniversary yesterday I would’ve made it up there. And of course I’m on call next weekend so probably won’t make that one either.aggies22 wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 4:12 pmThis program has a LONG way to go with the casual fan. Excited for the first home game and to cheer this team on to a surprisingly good year!

Re: Scrimmage Starters
I was there and chatted with some of the players after (Broc and Otto specifically) and had a great time. I'm not a football guru but I cane away impressed overall by the team. I think this year will be a good one despite these guys having to fight through so much adversity. These are some great guys and it has absolutely been my pleasure to get to know a few of them.

Re: Scrimmage Starters
I think it is a couple of things. There is for sure a division amongst Aggie fans with the Blake firing where a lot of fans are upset and may have stayed away as of spite. I think the biggest thing is school starts this week or next week for Utah schools so a lot of parents are spending their last weekend with their kids. While I would have loved to have attended the scrimmage yesterday I went rafting with my kids on the Snake River which I would much rather do than go to a scrimmage. Now once the regular season starts I'll absolutely be at the games.Fan4AggieballAZ wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 3:29 pmKinda bummer to hear the community support wasn’t there for FREE at their scrimmage but I guess if they don’t advertise it much or maybe it’s trying to strategize a bit with less optics on the team with so much having occurred and the changes over past few months; I dunno!

The 7 mile stretch east of Alpine WY. It's one of my kids favorite activity, we rent rafts a few times a summer and do it.Hoot wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 9:04 pmWhich part of the snake did you raft?Aggie84025 wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 8:25 pmI think it is a couple of things. Re: Scrimmage Starters
I've been two weeks out from listing my house on the market for the past month and a half. This past Saturday I was working on getting things taken care of before carpet installers came.
Since we've already missed the summer selling season and we don't really have anything left we need to schedule with contractors I'm taking my foot off the gas a bit. I believe I'll be making it out to the scrimmage this Saturday.

Otto Tia is setting all sorts of records and winning tons of national awards for my virtual College Football 25 team in case anyone was wondering.aggies22 wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 9:16 amNot the case on defense. Re: Scrimmage Starters
It took me a season and a half to figure out how to change the camera in the RTG mode so I could literally only see him and Tuatagaloa who had ascended to be the starting TE. He was a 2,000 yard reciever.AggieFan50 wrote: ↑August 13th, 2024, 4:20 pmOtto Tia is setting all sorts of records and winning tons of national awards for my virtual College Football 25 team in case anyone was wondering.aggies22 wrote: ↑August 11th, 2024, 9:16 amNot the case on defense. I hit him on a last ditch deep pass against WYO for the win but he only has like 84 speed so he got caught a yard short. I was not thrilled.
