Game-day Food Wishlist
I need a new light-hearted thread. So I was thinking about food options at Maverik Stadium. If you could choose any type of food that would be available at football games (general or specific) what would it be?

I really dig J Dawgs, still don't understand why it takes their line so long. Get some heat lamps.

I could go for some good chicken tenders. Like Raising Canes good or better.

at the risk of sounding like a frat-boy, I would love to buy a beer at Maverick. I know that is never happening...but a beer and a pretzel with some cheese dip, stick a fork in me I'm done!

I find it troubling that an eating place that began in Provo with BYU roots is allowed in the Mav. It should be boycotted.trevordude wrote: ↑August 6th, 2024, 3:47 pmI really dig J Dawgs, still don't understand why it takes their line so long. Get some heat lamps.

I don't drink, but I can see how a beer can contribute to a good game day experience. But, speaking of pretzels and cheese, Concessions really needs to step up their nacho cheese sauce game. It comes individually packaged, cold and is just gross.

Re: Game-day Food Wishlist
Why in the world have we not done an Aggie "Scotty dog" hot dog in our concessions, with deference to "The Scotsman Fight song", all things Scottish, and even our own Scott Girard?
Too many good things converging not to do it.
This would be like 10,000 times better than a freakishly long maple bar called a "cougar tail".
Frankly, that garbage only would work in Utah County.

Re: Game-day Food Wishlist
Have one of these specialty soda shops open up a concession booth. They could have a special drink each game called "(insert visiting team hear) tears". "Cougar tears", "Bronco tears", "Aztec tears", etc. They could get creative with each game to do a new mix of flavors.

I cannot understand why soda shop places work so well in Utah. It is just a stupid soda.
3 bucks and change. I don't get it. Get the same thing at McDonalds for 1/3 the price.

Re: Game-day Food Wishlist
My disappointment was immeasurable when I cracked open my cheese to dip my pretzel. By season’s end I had figured out how to con them into giving out warm ones but sadly I fear that knowledge was lost probably after Georgia State did their best Weber impression in the bowl.DreadPirateRoberts wrote: ↑August 6th, 2024, 4:00 pmI don't drink, but I can see how a beer can contribute to a good game day experience. For game-day food, I give it A+ for food.
J-Daws is nice on gameday. There is other good food, and there is nearby good food (Morty's, Tandoori Oven, and etc.) that you can get before or after the game. Good food and watching the Aggies is perfect.

I can tell you exactly why. It's the same reason coffee/Java shops work everywhere else. They're convenient drive-throughs for everyone's favorite morning stimulant, caffeine. In our region, you have to launder the caffeine through soda, lest you run afoul of ecclesiastical norms.RogerAndersen wrote: ↑August 6th, 2024, 4:41 pmI cannot understand why soda shop places work so well in Utah.
