Crazy idea for Stadium upgrade
So, Cache Valley is home to one of the premier Roller coaster manufacturers in the country. What if when Maverik Stadium undergoes a major renovation we integrate a roller coaster into the construction. That could bring in revenue during the off season and bring in money from outside Cache Valley.
We could even send cars through a loop when we score! I'm pretty sure that we would have the coolest Stadium with the best views.

Re: Crazy idea for Stadium upgrade
This is a great idea. I think we have a certain mega donor that has a good relationship with this roller coaster company, so maybe he can pitch the idea. This is a much better gimmick idea than having a blue field. A roller coaster would be sweet, but I'd even take a tower ride, a swinging pirate ship, or some other amusement ride....or maybe all three. Can we also install some carnival games please.

Re: Crazy idea for Stadium upgrade
Imagine if we had a full blown amusement park as our tailgate atmosphere! Have everything up and running prior to games, then have special "scoring seats" at the top of a tower drop. When we score you drop! Call them the Aggie Adrenaline seats.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑April 27th, 2024, 12:10 pmThis is a great idea. Upgrading Stadium has been a big thing.
I really do hope for a massive media deal, so we can these upgrades to the stadium finished. The amusement park idea is a good idea since it would create a larger number of customers with a fun experience, and Cache Valley's population keeps getting bigger.

Re: Crazy idea for Stadium upgrade
I love this idea haha. We need to think of ways to compete with TV now… and this would be a great way to get kids and women more interested in attending (women so their kids have something to do). It would make our stadium one of the most unique and fun in the country lol.
Imagine a Ferris wheel, up on the North East corner of the stadium. Would be an amazing view of both the game and the valley

Such a cool idea. This whole concept would make Maverik stadium so unique. Holy smokes!TrueAggieman wrote: ↑April 27th, 2024, 2:11 pmI love this idea haha. We need this on top of the Laub Center. When we kick an extra point, we shoot Big Blue and a cheerleader into the air. We could also sell tickets before the game.

Re: Crazy idea for Stadium upgrade
Wow we could have so much fun with this! Imagine a bunch of Aggie themed rides. Think of how many people would come up from the Wasatch Front for at least 1 game a year… and how many kids would have a positive view of USU because of it lol. “Mom, can we have please go to Aggieland again”

I'll never argue with a new rollercoaster being built. S&S donates to USU. They need to just donate that prototype they have sitting out front.

I took my kids to a Tigers baseball game last year. They have a merry go round where all the animals are tigers. I let my kids ride it for like 2 dollars each. And they pretty much instantly became Tigers fans for life.

I can hear fans from opposing teams now.
Him: "Hey, Honey wanna go watch our team play Utah State?"
Her: "Nope"
Him: "But their Stadium has a roller-coaster and carnival games. I'll win you a huge stuffed cow."
Her: "When do we leave?"

If every little town and county fair can set up mobile carnival rides I’d think USU could figure it out. Yes perhaps those traveling carnivals burden the liability. I’m sure it would require an insurance policy of some sort.

This is an incredible idea. I could see a coaster in the south concourse, or a whole amusement park in one of the parking lots. There is a minor league team in Altoona PA that has a roller coaster in right field.

There is also a minor league team that plays next to Coney Island called the Brooklyn Cyclones (named after the world famous Cyclone).

I love how this idea has caught on. I would love to see it become a reality even if it were on a small scale to start. Like by starting with the tailgate atmosphere being a more carnival-like. We can work up to large rides incorporated into the stadium.

I disagree. I worked for 5 years at Lagoon, and as long as safety features and procedures are followed according to IAAPA standards, it's completely doable.GUS wrote:Liability nightmare. Never get the lawyers to sign off on it.

Whoa! No one said anything about REPLACING football with roller coasters and carnival games. We are suggesting adding these unique features to the the stadium and surrounding area to compliment and create an amazing gameday experience. These features could then also be used during the football offseason.AggieIceCream05 wrote: ↑April 29th, 2024, 11:54 pmEven the most loyal fans are considering replacing USU football with carnival games and roller coaster rides due to its poor performance.
