Oh man...
I LOVED watching him play. A great compliment to Wagner.

Best quote on Gallagher, "He plays like he has a spare body in his closet."

This one hurts. I fondly remember my brother giving me his Scout.com login and watching recruiting highlights of Kyle Gallagher, and finally believing Aggie football had some hope. His highlights were so awesome!

I still have an old recording on my ancient voice recorder from my days at The Statesman of interviewing Brent Guy, where the interview was interrupted by coach yelling at Gallagher, mid-interview to "ROLL!!! ROLL TO ME!".

My last years in school I was often on the same Aggie Shuttle as Kyle, and he was always a chill dude above all else. I always felt like he partially knew that I was kinda a fanboy. But still a nice dude at every turn!

Freaking legend.

Gallagher was an awesome player. When I think of hard hitters I always think of him. Was it his senior year he broke his arm in the first quarter and finished the game?

I remember the announcers during the game against Oklahoma said, "this kid plays like his hair is on fire!"

Didn't Gary also once say that Gallagher played like he had an extra body in the closet at home?

The team should do a Gallagher award. At least something to honor him.

This really blows. Dude is a year younger than me, and was a big part of turning around our football program.

Uggh. Terrible news.

I still remember Gallagher shooting the gap for this stop on fourth down against BYU. This game was one of the turning points for the entire football program.

Gone too soon and was an integral part of the rebuild. Not dissimilar to Brian Suite- two great dudes the world will not be better without.

RIP. The guy was a pleasure to watch and easy to cheer for. Epitome of leaving it all out on the field.

I seem to recall he wore a big mitt on his broken arm/hand and still played.

Those teams are the ones I really remember well growing into my Aggie fandom

University needs to find a way to honor these two young men for their parts in this program’s turn around.

This is sad. Kyle Gallagher was so fun to watch. Sounded like he would do anything for the coach and his teammates.

Gallagher was always one of my favorite linebackers. Certainly not one of the big names that are thrown around here, but I loved how he played. I still remember a play in the Hawaii game where he made a great tackle and then did a little half spin celebration. He came up lame and limped off the field. I then remember Scott Barnes staring over at him on the sidelines. The man played like he had another body hanging up in the closet. RIP Kyle Gallagher. God bless your family and loved ones.

Way too young. I loved watching Gallagher play. You could tell he loved the sport. He and Wagner and Doughty made for a great linebacker group. So sad for his family and friends left behind.

For all those who loved and admired Kyle Gallagher. A gofundme has been established to fund a trust for his daughter Ireland and to offset funeral costs. Please see the link below along with words shared by Kyle’s younger brother Dane.

https://gofund.me/3b0189c8

“Kyle passed away in a accident driving home from work, there was no foul play or anything, it was simply an accident. Kyle loved Utah State and every second being a part of that program. My brother was an amazing person. He loved deeply and was deeply loved. He was the best of us, we love him and will miss him always. Please consider donating to honor Kyle. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts during this difficult time. We appreciate all of you.”
