The fact that aggies22 gets credible inside scoop cannot be disputed. He’s shared info and proved to be right ahead of time countless times at this point.

Is that American Heritage (Reggie Foster) the school that Henry Colombi Sr. coaches at? I like that development if true.

The recruiting sites show Foster as having a Missouri offer.

Reggie Foster is coming from American Heritage Plantation. Henry Sr., is at American Heritage Del Rey.

All of these signing announcements on the USU football twitter page. It seems there's no way of actually knowing who's a walk-on and who isn't.

It is good that we went heavy on the DTs. It was a source of our struggles last season plus we lost a couple of them. 3 JC DTs added will help a lot.
From your site
6'2" 280 Mosley
6'2" 340 Mosley
6'5" 315 Mamea
No more undersize and underpower DL anymore is a goal here.

Only 340?

I’d like our DTs in the 400-500 range

Johnson wasn't supposed to announce his commitment until later this afternoon but USU apparently feels pretty confident about what his decision is going to be.

Arcelles has signed his LOI. That's the only way Coach Anderson can speak about him publicly.

That’s awesome! The only thing that would make me happier is if a sinkhole opened underneath Black Hills State and the whole university was gone forever.

This could be the most impactful year 1 recruiting classes that we ever had. So many college transfers (mostly JC) make this class unique in potential production year 1.

While true, the question that will be answered with on-field results was whether that was a good strategy or not. As 22 has noted, there were a lot of D1 level high school kids pushed to the JC ranks because of the extra eligibility from covid. So maybe this year and next we see a higher number of JC kids than normal coming in because there is sufficient talent there that has playing time to evaluate who can come in with 2-3 years to play versus a less or unproven proven portal kid or a portal kid with one year of eligibility left.

Another issue with the JC guys is whether this is also part of scholarship management strategy. If they are light on players some years, this could be a solid way to fill scholarship numbers for those years to even things out going forward. There are others on here much more attuned to the scholarship situation that could probably comment on this.

However, if this is the general recruiting strategy going forward I would be more concerned.

It is interesting that BA have been hoping for a chance to bring bigger and more physical DTs in his talk about the recruits. BA seems to talk like that we got major upgrades at DT while saying Edge rusher Slone reminds him of Nick Henniger and going to be a star in his opinion.
It looks like our DL from the surface before any practices is two spots are camp battles while Hale and Slone are starting.
