NAR: Vikings have a guy do something we can hope we don't ever have someone do
A Minnesota Vikings player out of frustration threw off his helmet and accidentally hit the ref with his helmet and elbow. If we had a guy do that while BA is still our coach, it would sure start a long thread on the Arkansas State message board about how it's what you would expect from him.

Very few players could get away with that.
It looked accidental in that he clearly tried to brake.
But it could also be viewed as he took that helmet right at the ref

The Packers just had a guy do something just as bad if not worse. A player shoved a Lions athletic trainer. Hopefully our coaches swear enough at the kids to get the point across about that being unacceptable before it happens in a game.

How about at some point in time a player has played in enough games that he should know not to chuck his helmet and shove other people?

Or just they went to elementary school and learned that it wasn't acceptable.

They damn near had a 2nd guy shove the trainer too. Disgusting! As a Bears fan I'd like to write it off as just more packers bs, but I'm afraid it's more of what we have become as a whole. It's sad. Most of all, damn them for making me a grouchy old bastard! The time Matt Millen punched Patriots general manager Pat Sullivan in the head was a lot more complicated than it sounds. This wasn't just a hulking football player beating up a man who in various accounts was generously described as "average" or "normal" size; this was Matt Millen actually coming to the defense of the equally hulking Howie Long—who was probably coming to the defense of Los Angeles Raiders owner Al Davis. The moment was a great crucible of personality. Everyone involved played defiantly to type: Sullivan, the mouthy nothingburger and sideline nuisance; Davis, the obstreperous old crank; Long, the Al Davis apologist who even then was at home in front of a camera; Millen, the dumbass.

It's a really great article. Lots of bad blood between Raiders/Pats before this happenedtipitup wrote: ↑January 9th, 2023, 12:43 pmnice writeup/play by play from an event almost 30 years ago!!El Sapo wrote: ↑January 9th, 2023, 11:32 amThe time Matt Millen punched Patriots general manager Pat Sullivan in the head was a lot more complicated than it sounds.
