Re: Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
With grumblings of more transfers coming. Any insight if there are issues with coaching staff or internal issues? Seems like this year as a whole was disjointed with players and coaches upset with fans and what seemed like not even competing against Alabama or in bowl game. Complaining about playing money games and also voicing that they are funding other sports by playing these types of games - while true it’s a bad look.

Woof. Imagine if Alofipo ends up at New Mexico Military Institute and Moa ends up at Incarnate Word. Lol.
(I'd bet good money Moa ends up at BYU as a walk on with the Built Bar scholarship.)

I know your comment was in jest. He doesn't have any visions of grandeur. He's the real reason the portal should exist. He's only looking to go play somewhere were he has a shot to get some playing time even if it's at a lower division.

Re: Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
There’s one former Aggie, Noah young, who follows me on Twitter. He’s played for Tennessee for the last few years but has entered the portal again, and according to his timeline seems to be begging for a place to play. Any chance the Aggies would consider him again? Don’t know what the circumstances are that he left in the first place

Re: Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
Funny thing. Have video of where we were on the front row, right behind the Aggies bench on the last defensive play against sjsu that clinched the win. Entire sideline explodes except for two players, #94 and #0. Didn’t think much of it at the time, but I guess body language can really say so much.

Re: Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
It looks like Vaughns is picking up some good P5 offers. Good for him.
Re: Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
So at this point, is it anticipated there will be anyone else entering the portal during this window?
I expect there will be a few more to enter during the window following spring ball.

I still haven't seen Pat Joyner. I haven't heard he's staying, so I assume he's still going.

You do have to wonder if Joyner had differences with the D-line coach Devine and will announce he is leaving if he gets confirmation Devine is staying or we bring in someone he doesn't like any better, but will stay if the right D-Line coach is brought in.

Both our transferring DEs are getting some eye popping offers. Would expect the same for Joyner.

Re: Transfer Portal Entry Tracker
I would imagine though that those who leave after spring ball are those that do so cause of playing time and won't be the guys at the top of our list of guys we don't want to lose. P5 schools aren't going to wait until after spring ball to come after guys with the ability to transfer up.
There could though be guys, even starters, that have differences with new assistants we bring in that leave cause of that. Or guys that are now starting to get sick of of the religious culture of Logan and being in the minority willing to give it one more chance before reaching the breaking point in the spring. Maybe for guys who hate the cold, the snowstorm we get in April, after they are told the snow only comes down through March, will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

I'm curious why everyone talks about a the 'religious' culture of Logan when USU is the school Utah kids go to in an effort to escape the prevailing religious culture of the state. The state religious culture is far less pervasive at USU than at Utah or especially BYU (obviously).GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2023, 9:59 amI would imagine though that those who leave after spring ball are those that do so cause of playing time and won't be the guys at the top of our list of guys we don't want to lose. Also, how come it doesn't seem to be a problem for Utah to recruit into said religious culture?
