Thought this would be a good thread to start a few days before the portal opens and while players are announcing their wishes to enter the portal. Just a thread of transfer portal wants.

I will start with a couple...

Levani Damuni- I think we all would love to have this guy rotating in with AJV and MJ. Would be a great linebacking core with Anthony Switzer coming back at striker

Campbell Barrington- offensive lineman from BYU. Hes from Washington so idk how much of a connection he has here. But he's a big boy and looks like he could put on more weight. I remember I really liked our last BYU offensive lineman transfer (Quin Ficklin)

Who are some others on your wish list?

Ficklin and Roman Andrus as OLine transfers were key to the success of those teams. Two very solid pickups in the OLine.

I'm sure with how many g5 guys that didn't find homes last year I'm sure we will be able to land a few p5 guys that fall through the cracks. I'm very excited

Mason Cobb from Provo who's at OSU did as well, but I'm guessing he's looking to transfer up or laterally and we are likely set on ILB unless there's any surprises.

I expect Cobb to end up at a bigtime program and he's going to get PAID with NIL.

Honestly, when are the utah kids going to stop reaching by jumping at the P5 offer? So many of them end up hitting the portal. They are good players that could come to Utah State from jump and play damn near immediately.

Probably a bunch of guys that have speed and quickness so we can complain about size and strength when we lose

I think because there's a misconception and recruiters push that living in Utah sucks and these kids should get out and see the world. What they don't tell them is that it seems like half of us who come from out of state to go to school in Utah stay here afterwards because Utah really is that great.

Weylin Lapuaho is a great example. He could’ve left, been a P5 guy, sat for a year or two at least, and then maybe gotten time as a Jr and Senior. He’s now going to be a 4 year starter and have a great NFL resume

I think they hold no love for Gary Andersen, but are fans of usu overall.
