Re: Can we stop kicking the kickoff out of bounds?
Nimrod has one job.
It's surprising how difficult it is to find a kicker who can consistently put one at the goal line. Spring ball usually has a whole bunch of kickers trying to get a job.

I hope they're out there recruiting a kicker for next year.

I don't get it. I don't remember it being a problem until the last 2-3 games.

It's like watching Tin Cup shanking it off the hozzle on the driving range before the US Open.

I see on Twitter he's listed as a USU 2023 player. Is that new or did I just miss it while I was avoiding the board and the daily meltdowns lately.

Yes. He will be participating in spring ball. I've had him listed among my commitments for some time now. I'm pretty sure he's on the depth chart I released as well.Aggiefan160 wrote: ↑January 5th, 2023, 3:58 pmI see on Twitter he's listed as a USU 2023 player. Is he related to the Watts kid that played receiver about 20 years ago?

Absolutely!! Greg is his dad. Britt has always dreamed of being an Aggie!

Re: Can we stop kicking the kickoff out of bounds?
He can kick it wherever he wants, then. My kind of guy. We should only recruit true blooded Aggies from now on. Imagine a football team of Sam Merrill’s? Yeah we’d suck on the offensive line and probably wouldn’t have a great secondary, but our pickup ball would be world class

Re: Can we stop kicking the kickoff out of bounds?
Britt followed me on Twitter some time ago out of the blue. Been loving watching his kicks on his Twitter page. Kid bleeds Aggie blue for sure.

I wondered if that was the case! Thanks!aggies22 wrote: ↑January 5th, 2023, 4:17 pmYes. He will be participating in spring ball. I've had him listed among my commitments for some time now. Re: Can we stop kicking the kickoff out of bounds?
That's awesome! Greg was a heck of a receiver once Calvillo took over the QB spot in '92.

Re: Can we stop kicking the kickoff out of bounds?
I've been watching those videos, too. Interesting that he's at Roy High, but he's always kicking on Syracuse High's field (where my kid goes). Kid has some good kicks, though of course it's hard to tell the overall body of work when looking at selected videos of him kicking from a tee with no opposition. Hoping he has good accuracy and can get the ball off quick and high enough to avoid being blocked. He definitely seems to have the leg!

He's one of the state's all-time leading scores from the kicker spot.BigBlueDart wrote: ↑January 6th, 2023, 11:00 amI've been watching those videos, too. Re: Can we stop kicking the kickoff out of bounds?
I remember a certain Aggie punter who kicked 50 yard beauties in practice and then (literally) punted backwards in games.BigBlueDart wrote: ↑January 6th, 2023, 11:00 amI've been watching those videos, too.
