NMSU was cleared to be bowl eligible before 5-7 teams are eligible. Their first year coach did a a heck of a job with that team. If he can stay away from health problems he will get that program in a good spot.

Happy to see the NCAA actually do the right thing here.
Agreed, especially considering SJSU should have rescheduled the game with them but refused to do it even after they were eliminated from the conference championship.
I agree. But let's be real here, NMSU should be thanking San Jose for not rescheduling the game. I doubt NMSU would have won. By canceling the game, San Jose gave the Raggies the gift of a bowl game.

If we somehow end up playing them I’ll be upset

I could see a scenario where they take the MAC's representation in the Arizona Bowl or C-USA's spot in the NM bowl since both locations are only 4 hours away and they would get a lot of fans.

Too funny, speaking of New Mexico Bowl, I noticed that their website history hasn't been updated since 2018, it shows us as the last team to play in it: https://newmexicobowl.com/history/ I had also forgot that the bowl game for 2020 got moved to Texas because of covid restrictions in NM. Interesting. Also, I see that a lot of pundits are predicting ybu will get slotted in this game. I thought that the NM bowl was affiliated with CUSA, does CUSA not have enough BE teams this year??? I guess since ESPN has the television rights they get to have a lot of say who goes there if CUSA can't fill a spot? Seems odd.

The BG I bet the coaches and players are hoping to avoid is the First Responders Bowl as the game is played on the 27th, I doubt the team wants to hang around Logan for the Holiday's.

Not going to the Frisco bowl. It was just canceled. I'm guessing that means UNLV is going bowling after all

That's actually the Frisco Football Classic which was a completely different bowl. The Frisco Bowl is still in play.
