Who Is The Best Player On Our Team?

Post by 918AGG » September 26th, 2022, 1:57 pm

Who is the best player on our team?

After Saturday's game, I was left asking this question, and I'm honestly not sure what the answer is, which is a really bad sign.

I say Calvin Tyler Jr., but I'm not sure that I can say it convincingly.

Linus Van Pelt: "Winning isn't everything."
Charlie Brown: "Yes, but losing isn't anything!"

AJ, Ike, or Tafisi- It is most definitely someone on defense

On defense I would say Hale.

Tyler isn't even the best running back on the team.

Stephen Kotsanlee
Best at his position, yes. But he's also done more to keep us in games than anyone else. IMO, of course...

To fans the best player on a struggling team is the backup QB. Thats especially true this year haha. In all seriousness Kotsanlee is the only player on the team to garner pre season all conference honors and nobody else has done anything to deserve any recognition.

I would say Ike has def earned his freshmen of the week recognition. He has been amazing when he is on the field.

I believe T. Vaughn is the most dynamic player on offense.

Yeah right. I’ll bet you probably thought Deven Thompkins was… hey wait a second!

One difference is usually there is a blind assumption that an inexperienced backup QB is automatically better, but that's not the case here as we are talking about a guy who threw a 62 yard touchdown in a bowl game on his first attempt, something that even Bryce Young did not do on his first attempt!

I googled to see if anyone else threw a touchdown on their first attempt, and saw that Michigan State had a quarterback throw a touchdown on his first attempt. Maybe freakboy would know that guy!

There is also the Atlanta Falcons Matt Ryan who threw a 62 yard touchdown in his first NFL attempt, and the Lions had a guy, David Blough throw a 75 yard touchdown on his first attempt. Brett Favre and Jameis Winston threw interceptions returned for touchdowns on their first NFL attempts.

Pretty much everyone that BA got. If you think I am joking, BA got Tyler Jr., Briggs, Vaughn, NyNy Davis, Cobbs, Ward, Vaghns, Joyner, Tafisi, Hall, Ike Larsen, Hunter Reynolds, Coleman, Paea, Buchanan, Bonner, Weylin, Alford, and etc.,

He threw a 2 yard completion on his first attempt, then an 84 yard touchdown his second attempt.

The answer to this question, regardless of the level of the team, is always the backup quarterback.

After this week I’m thinking Hale Motu’apuaka. He brought in so much energy and was very disruptive along the front.

Ike has been a major playmaker.

Agree this would be my vote. Dude was amazing last week.

We are so thin on D line. If he goes down we will never force a punt the rest of the year.
