Bonner

Post by Elkaggie » September 26th, 2022, 12:05 pm

Not sure if it’s been reported but I’m hearing he’s got a broken foot and likely done for the year.

Happened on the last play of the game.

That sucks for him. Was it the last play or second to last play? On the second to last play the RT whiffed on the blitzing linebacker and Bonner was lit up just as he threw the ball. When he got up, he was obviously limping and in pain.

Could have been that play too.

Coach Anderson said it was the last play of the game. Both could have contributed. Tough for Bonner regardless of this season and the outcomes. I really wanted him to do well on Saturday, but it just didn't work out.

That sucks for him, that is not the way you want to end your college career. I will remember the great memories that Bonner brought to the program last year. You would be hard pressed to find a tougher player than Bonner.

Too bad. He’s a good dude. I think he’d be a good coach if he wanted to do that.

Bonner is a great Aggie and played with a lot of heart and toughness and set the single-reason record for us.

Trying to fool BYU? Then he arrives in a boot on Thursday?

This is not how I would have liked it to end.

He won a championship for us. Probably came back to soon from his knee surgery.

Best of luck to Logan.

Do the right thing. Get a medical red shirt and bring him back for year 8. In the words of Tommy boy lots of people go to college for 7 years but only the best go to school for 8.

The way Anderson is going, he will wheel Bonner out on the field in a wheel chair before he pulls him from the field of play.

I heard he's been faking the injury just for this moment. There was no ACL tear, nada. Saving it all for the Zoobie game. In fact, last year's receivers are still on the roster, just disguised and they'll be active on Thursday.

A story like that's gotta be true.

I’d feel bad if Bonner is hurt. Dude has given his all. Not sure why no one else has been given snaps in preparation for this type of a moment when your starter goes down.

I tend to believe 22 but I got the impression from the interview that he fully expects to play so I don’t know.
