SJSU - Stanford
SJSU just signed a 4 year deal with Stanford. 2 in San Jose, 2 at Stanford. These games replace a 4 year deal Stanford had with BYU.
The second game at SJSU is way out there and probably won't end up being played and I realize they will basically be additional home games for Stanford, but I have to wonder if we couldn't have gotten a home and home with them if they were willing to sign a 4 game deal with SJSU.

Re: SJSU - Stanford
Stanford and SJSU are only 20 miles apart and they had been long standing rivals for many years until conference affiliations got in the way. Makes sense for them. I’m sure even when the game is at San Jose there will be majority Stanford fans.

Re: SJSU - Stanford
Weird. Someone should have informed them that there is no benefit for a PAC-12 school to play a MWC school in their own backyard and that it would be more beneficial to go play in DeKalb, Illinois instead.

I sure like when stuff like this happens. It reinforces for the world how big of pussies the Utes really are.

Re: SJSU - Stanford
Absolutely spot on slcagg. Consider the possibility of a 2-1 deal with either school and USU playing the first 2 on the road, then having the 3rd game cancelled, ie "bought out" like Utah did before their scheduled game in Logan. Yikes.

Re: SJSU - Stanford
It is a win/win for both schools. Zero travel expenses and games that will most likely be fairly well attended. If only there was a school in Utah who could take lessons on something like this.
