Exactly my Aggie brother. It's too late in the game to find the contributor that we were hoping for. Bag it and use the schollie in December.Stockypoo2212 wrote: ↑June 19th, 2022, 10:27 amCommitted to Pittsburgh today. Time for John Gentry to step up

Re: C'bo
I'm not sure overblown is the correct word my brother. I definitely see a need for more experience that could compete for the #2 spot. It doesn't look like it's going happen so now we need Gentry to take a BIG step forward.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑June 19th, 2022, 11:58 amThe concern to add another rb was overblown anyway. @aggies22

How did gentry look during spring? Concerning to me he hasn’t completely grabbed the number 2 spot.

A RB would a luxury. The need for a quality CB or 3 is a dire need.

Bingo. Our passing game will carry the offense. Our corner depth scares me. I’m less confident than most in our linebackers as well. I would much prefer a sud corner or linebackerineptimusprime wrote: ↑June 19th, 2022, 5:39 pmA RB would a luxury. The need for a quality CB or 3 is a dire need.

Pretty disappointed we didn’t land C’Bo. A bit of a head scratcher that he would pick Pitt when they have a deep stable of backs returning. 3 guys whom all rushed for 500-700 yards last year and a fourth rb who apparently stood out in spring ball. All of the 4 have multiple years of eligibility left.

It is strange that transfers and recruits don’t have Utah State as a highly rated place with a winning coach fresh off winning the LA Bowl, going 2-0 against P5 teams, winning the MWC, top 25 team in the rankings, and etc.aggies22 wrote: ↑June 20th, 2022, 10:16 amP5 magic has a curious way of clouding good judgement.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑June 20th, 2022, 8:17 amPretty disappointed we didn’t land C’Bo. Would definitely be nice to see Levi in for short yardage situations either under center or as a run-pass option.

He is also familiar with taking snaps under center. I loathe when it is 3rd and 1 and we run out of shotgun, would much rather see a QB under center with the option to run the QB sneak or hand off to a RB that has forward momentum.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑June 20th, 2022, 10:29 pmWould definitely be nice to see Levi in for short yardage situations either under center or as a run-pass option.

Thank you! Hey I met a kid that said he was a new RB gave me his name but I forgot but I’m certain it’s not in that list. He was super excited about coming here due to the success of the coach and video of the student section. Re: C'bo
That does bring up a possibility of moving a player over to RB for added depth behind Gentry and Makakona. I think Tyler is a great #1 back but I'm sure we'll need to go 3 or 4 deep at this position throughout the season and I really worry about our depth. I worry that Briggs needs another year to bulk up. Could a strong physical receiver such as Bailee Davenport or Taylor Larsen be moved to rb. I doubt either of them will see the field much as receivers even though they are talented/experienced players. I think BA values rb's that can catch the ball. Gentry was used primarily as a receiving back in high school, Robert Briggs played out of the slot a lot, and Gerald Hanson is a converted receiver. Max Alford was an RB in high school and could slide over there as well to be a power back, unless we see him being a contributor at LB this year.aggies22 wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2022, 9:26 amBailee Davenport?Blue Sage wrote: ↑June 22nd, 2022, 11:51 pmThank you! Re: C'bo
Bailee Davenport will be playing RB. Taylor Larsen left the team. Briggs is here and working out. The coaching staff believes that Max Alford could develop into an NFL linebacker. His uncle Tony feels the same way and he's RB's coach at THE Ohio State, so he knows a thing or two about NFL potential.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2022, 11:17 amThat does bring up a possibility of moving a player over to RB for added depth behind Gentry and Makakona. Hey I met a kid that said he was a new RB gave me his name but I forgot but I’m certain it’s not in that list. He was super excited about coming here due to the success of the coach and video of the student section. Might there be a name or two not included on that list?aggies22 wrote: ↑June 22nd, 2022, 1:15 pmNumber of letters they have earned.Aggie19 wrote: ↑June 22nd, 2022, 1:12 pmHey '22 what does the "1L","2L" ,etc represent? Thanks 22! It was Davenport! You da man buddy! He said he wants to be just like Turbin! Very pumped to be here.aggies22 wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2022, 4:42 pmHe's expected to be a full participant in fall camp.slcagg wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2022, 2:44 pmIs Max healthy this year?aggies22 wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2022, 11:46 amBailee Davenport will be playing RB. Re: C'bo
Alford is the kid from Park City we recruited this year, right?
