I bet his parents enjoy a good turkey fried steak from time to time...as well as some raspberry honey butter.

Legacy kid. I think his dad may post here from time to time.

PWO and a mission kid. His Dad is Jimmy Ray that played WR here. He's really excited and turned down a handful of FCS schollies.

Yes, this is my son. I (Jimmy Ray) played at USU 89-93 as a WR on the Las Vegas Bowl Championship team. He's a PWO and will be serving a mission and enrolling in Fall of 2024 or grey shirting and enrolling in January of 2025. He's excited. I'm biased but had he played on a lot of other teams with less D1 targets he would've caught a lot more balls. Finished the year with 34 catches and 5 TDs playing with 2 D1 tight ends (UCLA and BYU) and most likely 3 other D1 WRs (Ingersoll (will be playing baseball at TCU but could've went a lot of places for football), Roberts (Jr. that will most likely land somewhere D1 next year, his brother is a WR at BYU), and Rees (Jr slot that will catch a lot of balls next year)). But it's awesome he played in such a great program like American Fork because it really prepared him for college and he had a D1 QB (Maddux Madsen/Boise St.) throwing to him the last 5 years.

Oh no another wide receiver parent. We just had a tough one named @taniataylor who claimed she was her sons number 1 fan. 🙄😁

Jk. Congrats to your son and your family!

Feels like we are going to end up having some absolute studs come out of this PWO group! Maddox and Luke Durfey being on top of that list.

It just keeps getting better. So excited about all the great players we have coming in. Let’s keep the ball rolling. Here’s to hoping we can keep all the coaches here as well and become the dominant team in the conference for many years to come. 💪

Jimmy Ray came to Utah State from Blanding Utah, quite a nice and picturesque place if you ask me. I sold heavy equipment down there and enjoyed my time in S E Utah, a beautiful part of our state. Jimmy had some real speed, some real wheels, and IIRC, a stress fracture kept him from playing more, even perhaps on Sundays. I'm a bit biased having seen Jimmy play and have spoken with him a few times. If his son is like Jimmy is then we are going to enjoy his time as an AGGIE.

If Maddox is anywhere close to his dad in talent, we have a sure fire great recruit on our hands. Jimmy and I would have lunch together when I was still working. Good times. I remember watching him play. He reminded me of Kevin Curtis…….good hands good speed. But bad luck with his wheels….knees I think.
Hey Jimmy, my daughter and family lives two blocks away from you, Skyridge side. Let’s do lunch again. Sorry I am old and somewhat boring, but Aggie Football isn’t boring. I’ll just listen, mostly

I would also keep an eye on Avery Ellis.

I'm not breaking any news here, but Jimmy is a great Aggie. They sit behind me at Football and so I have seen his family grow up. They are all taller than me now, including the youngest son that is 11-12. My son has gone up against him in baseball the past few years.

Anyway - they have a daughter that is AMAZING at soccer and with the legacy connection I am hopefully she makes her way to USU. I think she has legitimate Pac12 interest/offers.

Good family.
