I still remember hearing an interview I think done by aggieup on Twitter with colombi. Had such high expectations. Too bad he didn’t get more run here.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 7:36 amI can tell you that adding Levi Williams crushed that dream. I still think, if given 2-3 years as the starter at Utah State he would have also been a high draft pick. I would love to have him back at Utah State but things have changed. We have Bonner and if healthy I want Bonner leading the team. If Bonner is not healthy I want Columbi over Williams and Legas. 22 you know more than all of us. Work your magic, if Bonner is in question get us Columbi back!!!

Of course I should have known that! Weird how you remember odd things. I recall listening to that interview while going on a jog past @hipsterd00fus21 or @hipsterdoofus21 house. The worst part is he never offered me water. Big meanie.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 7:57 amHey! I was in on that too! Not the first time that USU adding another QB to the QB room has sent Henry Columbi elsewhere.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 7:36 amI can tell you that adding Levi Williams crushed that dream. Technically it is, because last time it was adding a backup strong safety to the QB room that sent Colombi elsewhere.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 8:36 amNot the first time that USU adding another QB to the QB room has sent Henry Columbi elsewhere.aggies22 wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 7:36 amI can tell you that adding Levi Williams crushed that dream. Re: Henry C is in the portal
I'm not reading it that way. If they're announcing an offer I think they usually will specifically say it's an offer. This kind of wording I usually associate with them having picked where they are going.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 12:28 pmThat reads more like announcing an offer and not a commitment
@aggies22 am I remembering right that you posted somewhere that he had like 3 unannounced offers before?

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Good catch, and I stand corrected. Wording still seems weird to me for an offer announcement, but it is entirely possible that it's just me. Glad to see he's getting some options, and really hope wherever he lands is a great fit for his final year!

Marshall and Massachusetts were two of the three.

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Anyone familiar enough with those two programs to venture a guess on which would be a better fit/situation for him?

Marshall likes to sling it and Massachusetts has been heavily recruiting Florida.BigBlueDart wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 1:20 pmAnyone familiar enough with those two programs to venture a guess on which would be a better fit/situation for him?

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Does this mean he's basically saying thanks but no thanks to Marshall and UMass and he's about to announce a commitment the the 3rd yet to be disclosed school but is still holding out a bit longer to see if any other offers come in?

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Marshall is better for football. Much more storied program.
UMass is a far superior school. As an FBS QB, he could get a much better job after college from the UMass alumni network than the Marshall alumni network. There are just a ton of elite boosters in New England. Work for an investment company with an office in Boston or have the connection to work anywhere else. However the Marshall boosters may be bigger jock sniffers. If so, I wonder what the 3rd will be.
But if it’s just a football decision Marshall is a much better choice.

I think this will be a strictly football related decision.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 3:39 pmMarshall is better for football. Much more storied program.

Good for Henri, Marshall has a good football program. I hope he balls out. On a side note, I would love for USU to schedule a series with Marshall. That is a place I would like to visit for a game.
