It’ll be fun to see where he lands, I hope he gets some playing time wherever he goes.

I'm glad USU is in the position it's in with quarterbacks, but a piece of me wishes Henry could come back for his final year.
Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

I'd want to get the hell out of Lubbock too! I don't blame him. We shouldn't say, "get out of Dodge". We should say, "get out of Lubbock".ManitobaAggie wrote: ↑January 12th, 2022, 5:05 pmSource - look it up. He has one more year left. Good luck HC!

Does FAU need a QB? Seems like a good fit if they do.

I think it's FIU, not FAU.3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑January 12th, 2022, 7:02 pmDoes FAU need a QB? Seems like a good fit if they do.
FIU's starting QB was a 6th year senior that's entered the NFL draft, but Duke's starting QB has now transferred to FIU. Maybe Colombi could compete but he could probably land a sure starting job if he's willing to go a rung lower.

As far as where he wants? I can't say. I think he wants to field a few more offers. He had 3 offers as of yesterday afternoon. All G5 offers.

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Can someone summarize his Texas Tech career? I thought he became the starter in 2020. I mean, yeah google can show stats, but what's the story behind him transferring again?

Re: Henry C is in the portal
I haven't followed it really closely, but from what I understand:
Was starter for part of the year in 2020. In 2021, was second string behind Shough for the first 4 games until he was injured. Started until Matt Wells was fired, was sick leading up to the Iowa State game, and never won his starting spot back from redshirt freshman Donovan Smith. Short article covers a bit of it here:

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Looks like he started the Oklahoma game, the week after Wells was fired, and then pulled in that game, and it looks like he didn't throw another pass all season after that, despite being available.Aggiefan160 wrote: ↑January 13th, 2022, 12:51 pmI haven't followed it really closely, but from what I understand:

Right on LK, spot on. A number of years ago the Michigan Construction Equipment company had an elevating scraper factory in Lubbock. Before each field training session for their salesmen, Michigan would sponsor a Rattlesnake roundup and paid good money for each rattlesnake head presented before the field seminar began.
Lubbock is the Rattlesnake capital of America as far as I can tell, plus some other expletives that would be censored.

Re: Henry C is in the portal
Yeah, Lubbock is the largest city of, and sits squarely in, the llano estacado, or "staked plane". The llano is called the staked plane because it is so flat and featureless that the Spanish explorers would plant stakes as they went along, so as to not get lost. It is one of the few places on the planet that is not a large body of water where one can actually see the curvature of the earth. People on the llano will occasionally consider moving to Laramie, where the landscape is much more lush and interesting.NavyBlueAggie wrote: ↑January 13th, 2022, 6:28 pmLKGates wrote: ↑January 13th, 2022, 8:38 amMogadishu > LubbockTheAKAggie wrote: ↑January 13th, 2022, 8:21 amMiami > LubbockTrueAG wrote:Do these guys not have friends, credits, girls? I always thought Columbi was a better QB than Love and I was really looking forward to his time at Utah State. I still think, if given 2-3 years as the starter at Utah State he would have also been a high draft pick. I would love to have him back at Utah State but things have changed. We have Bonner and if healthy I want Bonner leading the team. If Bonner is not healthy I want Columbi over Williams and Legas. 22 you know more than all of us. Work your magic, if Bonner is in question get us Columbi back!!!
