Re: For Those Who Value Punters
The punts were the ball got downed inside the 5 yard line (and the punt recoveries) were key plays in a few of our wins this year. Thanks for posting that video!

Re: For Those Who Value Punters
G'day JSH & Happy New Year, the muffed punt against Colorado State (5m 17s mark on the video), which was disallowed for interference, really annoyed Stephen - he moans about it to this day. Having watched it many times I can see why! The Special Teams punt unit were first class in providing coverage and keeping pressure on the returners.
I think the banana punt in the Championship game was a standout play. Thry knew the returner was aggresive so they wanted to test him. The helicopter spin and quick drop of the ball contributed to the muffed catch. To score a TD 2 plays after the turnover was icing on the cake.

This list demonstrates that championship teams need good punting. Not sufficient, but definitely necessary.PIGSKINAGGIE wrote: ↑January 4th, 2022, 3:27 amListed with some pretty good company on that list. I love it.

I believe there is a younger brother but I'm pretty sure he is a WR. I'll let Mr. Kotsanlee answer that for sure though. But a new WR in a few years with our staff might be a nice thing.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑January 9th, 2022, 12:08 amAwesome! BTW do you have any younger sons - future Aggie punters?

Re: For Those Who Value Punters
G'day Mr OCA & Mr Goalie,
Yes, Stephen has a brother, Ennis who is 16. Ennis plays U16s as a slot receiver and sometime running back for his local club Croydon Rangers. He'll also be a returner for kickoffs and punts and be the kicker so plenty of diverse roles. The Rangers will start season 2021 on Jan 22, the season having been delayed from last year due to covid (the 2020 season was cancelled completely). The 2022 season will start in Sep as usual. Ennis will be in U19s for this one. So, 2 seasons in 1 year to make up for lost time.
Ennis aspires to play college football but he has chosen a much harder pathway. He is very passionate about American Football and also attends a private football Academy for additional coaching. Plan B is to join ProKick as Ennis also has a good boot on him, like his brother.

It looks like they've sold 4 USU belts, 0 Oregon State ones and 0 with both teams on them. They keep advertising them as a limited run but they also tell you how many are left and they haven't sold well.
