Re: 2 Maryland WRs enter the portal
Was offered by Arkansas state. Was this by Blake’s staff? I would guess offered by asu early (when Blake was at Arkansas state) and then big schools came in later. May be on to something here.
Edit: Actually here you go. The summer of his senior year he de committed to smu. Arkansas state offered two days later. In august committed to Washington state. De committed from them once usc offered late fall. Then first year at usc was this year.

We've had luck with Los Angeles transfers the last couple of years.

Yes, it was. I would say that it is a likely target since BA knows him.slcagg wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2022, 8:40 amWas offered by Arkansas state. Was this by Blake’s staff? This may be a name to keep an eye on. Decent, but not overwhelming stats where he’d be out of our reach. From the same town as Darwin Thompson. Darwin already tagged the USU football account in a tweet about this guy.

Looks like a lot of good options available at WR. Excited to see who the coaches bring on board. I hope they bring in some with 2-3 years available.

Seems injuries has really derailed his career.

We offered him a long time ago, he has LDS.org in his twitter profile so he might have interest coming out west.

He should probably update that to churchofjesuschrist.org.FromLItoLogan wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2022, 12:31 pmWe offered him a long time ago, he has LDS.org in his twitter profile so he might have interest coming out west.

He was verbally committed to us at one time. He didn't qualify academically.

Re: 2 Maryland WRs enter the portal
Any of you think that because we have Bama on our schedule next year lots of good talent will want to transfer here for the 2022 season?

I don't see one game on the schedule making that big of an impact.CivEngAggie wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 6:58 amAny of you think that because we have Bama on our schedule next year lots of good talent will want to transfer here for the 2022 season?

Re: 2 Maryland WRs enter the portal
So what I'm seeing in this thread is that there are a metric ton of WR transfers that should be able to come in and contribute.

I felt like that I could help folks keep tabs on who is in the transfer portal. Re: 2 Maryland WRs enter the portal
along with a good dose of potential transfers who we should also avoid. But yea, I think the coaches knew what they were doing when they held off recruiting on the skilled position side during the ESP, they knew there would be a flood in the portal after the season ended, and they knew we'd be losing a few, opening up some spots for us.thegreendalegelf wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 11:08 amSo what I'm seeing in this thread is that there are a metric ton of WR transfers that should be able to come in and contribute.

Re: 2 Maryland WRs enter the portal
As opposed to posting random tweets of 1/10 of the guys entering the portal, how about just using this single link that is a comprehensive sortable list of every player entering the portal:SLB wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 11:11 amI felt like that I could help folks keep tabs on who is in the transfer portal. No, slb is doing a great job. Keep up the good work slb! Tweets sometimes has more detail than that link.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 11:17 amAs opposed to posting random tweets of 1/10 of the guys entering the portal, how about just using this single link that is a comprehensive sortable list of every player entering the portal:SLB wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 11:11 amI felt like that I could help folks keep tabs on who is in the transfer portal. Plus 247 is not a website I care to support.
I’m hoping slb can break the record of longest thread that he set a few years back with basketball transfers.

Re: 2 Maryland WRs enter the portal
247’s list isn’t so comprehensive. Not sure if there’s P5 bias in their portal lists too. For example, they have only 4 Wyoming players entering the portal. Not really close to reality. If anyone knows where to find a truly comprehensive list, I’d love to see it!

247 is as close as you will get and they no longer give a damn about G5 programs.BustaMcNutt wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 11:41 am247’s list isn’t so comprehensive. But...you take an athlete like that anyway.
The rivals xfer portal twitter account is the best way to keep track. That 247 page is way slow to update and only has about half of the guys

Are we not? We offered 3 immediate impact DE’s during the 1st signing period that all committed elsewhere & it seems we have a lack of depth at DE.GeoAg wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 12:19 pmDon't think soslcagg wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 12:10 pmWe still looking for a d end?aggies22 wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 12:06 pmI tried.....ineptimusprime wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2022, 12:05 pm
