This kinda makes me nervous. I don't know why, but we have a VERY deep QB room now. It wouldn't surprise me to see him in certain sets
If Peasly with his athletic ability wasn't utilized on "certain sets" I doubt Williams will either.
Am I thinking right that Williams is taller and bigger than Peasley, something like a 6’5” 230 kind of guy? When I think of using him in certain sets it reminds me of how we utilized Hobbs a few years ago. I don’t have his info in front of me but seems like Williams could be used in a variety of ways if so.

Well so this leads me to believe one of two things is happening.....

1- Bonner has a serious knee injury like an ACL tear and so his career is over

or

2- Legas is leaving and we need a backup to Bonner (if he is healthy in 2022) and a starter in 2023.
Why would Legas decide to leave? I understand Peasley but Legas? I feel like that would be a bigger blow.
I don't know, but I just don't see how adding Williams makes any sense if Bonner, Legas and future Heisman winner (with no offers) Davenport are still in the program.
Hey man, Davenport had an offer from Houston Baptist!

The logic here is hard to counter, unless said Heisman winner is switching positions. You would think Williams wouldn't come with a starter already in place (Bonner). He has opportunities to go elsewhere and start.

My guess?

Bonner will be back, Calvin is leaving for sure (which is why this offer was extended), and Legas may transfer because of this signing.

All pure guesses. Probably a safe bet that Williams will be QB1 when Bonner is done.

Way too many assumptions. Let the pieces fall how they may first. You know what people say about assumptions.

Ideally this just means Josh Calvin is leaving and we have a STACKED QB room.
This is the list I have:

Logan Bonner (1 year of eligibility remaining)
Cooper Legas (3 years)
Josh Calvin (3 years)
Levi Williams (3 years)
Garrett Larson (4 years)
Bishop Davenport (4 + Redshirt)
Chase Tuatagaloa (4 + Redshirt)

Do we have any committed quarterbacks on missions right now? With Covid and transfers, it seems like there are three with the same amount of eligibility, but I'm excited to add Williams to the room.

There's plenty of suspense involved in not knowing exactly how it's going to play out. I'm sure the coaches just want the best players they can get, first and foremost. Even the coaches don't know how this is going to go in spring ball and fall camp.

Williams may even be our starting next season. Williams was doing very well late this season.
Last 5 games 12 total TDs 2 INTs and completed over 66 % on his passes

It's a message board. We discuss USU athletics with incomplete/vague and often times false information. It's the whole point. If we had all the information and didn't have to make assumptions, we wouldn't really need a message board. There is plenty of suspense in the unknowns you listed, but don't deprive us of our little pleasures. As long as it's not malicious, I'm fine with it.

Question: How is this guy a Frosh? He has stats in 3 seasons. I get that one of them counts as a redshirt season (2019), and one doesn't count at all (2020), but he played significant minutes this season (2021). This season was his redshirt frosh season. He should be an incoming soph with 3 to play 3, n'est-ce pas?

Bishop Davenport (4 + Redshirt)
Chase Tuatagaloa (4 + Redshirt)

Do we have any committed quarterbacks on missions right now? With Covid and transfers, it seems like there are three with the same amount of eligibility, but I'm excited to add Williams to the room.
I don't think Chase will end up playing QB here, just a hunch
Chase seems like the kind of athlete that could become really good at a few different positions.
Also, don't think Larson is on Scholie
Larson is NOT on scholarship.

Williams may even be our starting next season. Williams was doing very well late this season.
Last 5 games 12 total TDs 2 INTs and completed over 66 % on his passes
Let's not go too far here my man.
I am going to project Levi Williams as the starting QB for 2022.

Seriously doubt it, but competition is a good thing

I mean how would we take it? Imagine how we'd feel if byu or Boise took our starting QB?

Well so this leads me to believe one of two things is happening.....

1- Bonner has a serious knee injury like an ACL tear and so his career is over

or

2- Legas is leaving and we need a backup to Bonner (if he is healthy in 2022) and a starter in 2023.
Ideally this just means Josh Calvin is leaving and we have a STACKED QB room.
This is the list I have:

Logan Bonner (1 year of eligibility remaining)
Cooper Legas (3 years)
Josh Calvin (3 years)
Levi Williams (3 years)
Garrett Larson (4 years)
Bishop Davenport (4 + Redshirt)
Chase Tuatagaloa (4 + Redshirt)

Do we have any committed quarterbacks on missions right now? With Covid and transfers, it seems like there are three with the same amount of eligibility, but I'm excited to add Williams to the room.
I don't think Chase will end up playing QB here, just a hunch
I think the sooner Chase moves from the QB room to the LB or WR room the better it'll be for his career.

I think from what we've see of Bonner so far, he'd find a way to cut out the ACL, if it were a problem, a la Ronnie Lott cutting off a finger) to play. 😁 I could see him out there Emmitt White style, sans ACL, with a stick duct tape to his leg to hold it all in place. I think Bonner will play and this is a Cooper Legas question.

I think Bonner is thinking NFL.
