Bill Murray clearly knows what he's talking about!

Classic Blunders:

He has a fixture here in South Carolina. If I ever see him I will definitely bring up that remark.

He used to be a part owner of a minor league team in Utah called the Salt Lake Trappers back in the 90’s.
The guy has become almost mythical for showing up at random places and showing everyone some good times and then just ghosting out. He even does dishes at some places.

When they were interviewing jimmy kimmel. Around the same time the Aggies had the throwback pass to Legas.

And now he part owns the Charleston South Carolina river dogs.

It was around 8:25 left in the 3rd. I filmed my tv to get it. So I have it. Trying to figure out how to load it up

Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
I found it. It's right about 8:05 in the 3rd Q. It's not actually Bill Murray. The ESPN crew is talking to Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy is talking about people that have been texting him, including Matthew McConaughey and Bill Murray. He says that Bill Murray told him Utah State has the best fans.

What About Bob is such an odd choice of movies to pick.

Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
That interview with Jimmy “Kennel” that lasted most of the 3rd quarter was awful. It was so LA. Sadly for some reason, people think we actually care about Jimmy Kimmel enough to stop listening and watching the game and watch three guys in the booth trying to be funny and suck up to a media star. The Camel thing was just like being in Junior High again. Meanwhile there is a game going on that is being ignored! It was am embarrassment that went in way to long.

Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
I chose “What About Bob” because pretty much everyone I know or have met loves that movie. Trust me, my name is Bob and that was the first thing I’d hear from anyone I told my name to for around 10 to 15 years of my life. I actually hated the movie until around 10 years ago when people stopped referencing it in the first minute they’d hear my name.

Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
I thought Big Blue and Jimmy Camel got along well and had fun messing around with each other, even having Big Blue tackle Bennie the Beav who in turn knocked down JC all in good fun. Perhaps the AKA is really Big Blue IRL and is friends with JC now, could be?bill.george wrote: ↑December 20th, 2021, 11:20 amHuh?TheAKAggie wrote:You can dish on Jimmy Kimmel and the interview booth all you want, but you take Jimmy Camel’s name outcha gd mouth!bill.george wrote:That interview with Jimmy “Kennel” that lasted most of the 3rd quarter was awful. Like him or hate him, Jimmy Kimmel elevated the exposure for this bowl game and that was good for Utah State. I had friends texting me from the east coast who knew nothing about the Aggies other than I like them but were watching the game to see what kind of shenanigans Jimmy Kimmel would come up with. They were all impressed with our team and our fans.

I was literally about to write this exact thing. There are a LOT of P5 schools that would have LOVED the exposure we received from Jimmy Kimmel.redburnday wrote:Like him or hate him, Jimmy Kimmel elevated the exposure for this bowl game and that was good for Utah State. Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
I took my kids to see the inaugural Trappers home game when Murray was behind home plate mugging for cameras, joking with players, umps, and spectators, and creating an incredible atmosphere. What a great night that was.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
I can't believe people are complaining about the Kimmel impact. I thought it was all so great- the camel mascot, the puke, the urinal cakes, the t-shirt cannon, even the booth chat. It added another level of interest and some great laughs to the game.

Yep, this was great exposure for the football team and the University. Don't know how anyone could complain about this. Putting USU into the culture should always be welcomed.redburnday wrote: ↑December 20th, 2021, 2:29 pmLike him or hate him, Jimmy Kimmel elevated the exposure for this bowl game and that was good for Utah State. Re: How About “What About Bob’s” own Bill Murray
I am complaining because I wanted to watch the game and not three clowns yapping in the booth. Even worse they left the telecast to go full screen on the video. I don’t need Jimmy Camel to feel good about Utah State. Sorry I just wanted to watch the game and not some mindless banter.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote:Yep, this was great exposure for the football team and the University.
