Just on a whim I googled my childhood hero Aggie #11 Kent Harris...

Amazing when you think we had only 11 first stringers! I was lucky to have seen, as a kid or teenager at qb, Kent Harris, Jim Turner, Bill Munson, Mel Montalbo, and my real favorite Bob Winters (ranked third nationally in passing, I believe) who came from Yakama Washington (or maybe Walla Walla) which I thought must be the most exotic place in the country.

Job security in the research field as a physicist was probably (rightfully so) held in higher regard than playing professional football at the time. Plus, it was more secure and probably paid more. I remember reading stories of Johnny Unitas and Raymond Berry helping each other in the offseason put down laminate floors in their kitchens.tinplater wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2021, 10:40 amJust on a whim I googled my childhood hero Aggie #11 Kent Harris...
