Re: WSU just beat Stanford
And, for now, Air Force is beating Boise. With a Wyoming loss, and the Falcons score holding, we're sitting pretty. This assumes we can continue to come from behind and win, because we certainly don't see the need to have 1st qtr leads.

CSU
CSU is a hard one to put a finger on. The blowout to South Dakota St. and loss to Vandy were super embarrassing. But they’ve dominated SJSU and New Mexico the last two weeks.
This could be the toughest remaining game. But it might not be either. Don’t know what to make of CSU.

Re: WSU just beat Stanford
For once we caught a break with our P5 games. I was thinking today that could there have been a worse year to play LSU on the road than when they had Joe Burrow? That was the best QB we had in maybe Utah State history. And we just had to play Burrow that year and not one of their worst teams. Up until today, Ogeron was 8-8 since their national title game.

Not that difficult. They're similar to Wyoming. Very vanilla, but good D.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 16th, 2021, 9:31 pmCSU is a hard one to put a finger on. The blowout to South Dakota St. and loss to Vandy were super embarrassing. But they’ve dominated SJSU and New Mexico the last two weeks.

Re: CSU
The bigger question is which of SJSU (without Starkel) and UNM are worse? I vote SJSU.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 16th, 2021, 9:35 pmIt could just be that SJSU and UNM are that badAggieFBObsession wrote: ↑October 16th, 2021, 9:32 pmNot that difficult. And the other bigger question is which of CSU and Wyo are better? I vote CSU.

Seems pretty easy to figure out. They ducked early & are good now. Those games they struggled with were at the first of the season. Now they’re very legit.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 16th, 2021, 9:31 pmCSU is a hard one to put a finger on. The blowout to South Dakota St. and loss to Vandy were super embarrassing. They scare me because they are solid up front on both sides. They will be tough, but for sure winnable if we correct some things.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 16th, 2021, 9:31 pmCSU is a hard one to put a finger on. Wins against a injured sjsu and New Mexico team make one legit? Cmon now. All FBS teams scare me because we have yet to beat an FBS team by more than 4 points.

Re: WSU just beat Stanford
The Aggies benefitted from it being the first game of the season and a bad qb choice by wsu. Afa was a lights out performance by peasley he hasn't replicated.
Our o is very limited at best with Bonner and that o line and there is a proven easy formula to stop us thatvevery tesm will apply. Teams also know we can't stop the run at all. Other than New Mexico the Aggies need much better line play to win any remaining games imo.

Csu has improved from their first two but I’m not convinced they are really good like you are saying. I guess I’ll get to watch them first hand soon enough. Go aggies!

Sagarin ratings are starting to become more clear with getting more data. It has rankings as:
Usu 85
CSU 77 (and that’s with CSU having those two horrendous losses to start the season. They’re clearly a much better team now.)
Toledo 73

I guess it is what you consider as legit. 77 isn’t legit in my eyes. Even below middle of 130 teams is not what I would consider as legit. Again to your point they appear Better than what I was initially giving them credit for and probably worse than what you are saying they are.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑October 17th, 2021, 6:11 amToledo’s worst all season was by 3 points, and that was to Notre dame.slcagg wrote: ↑October 17th, 2021, 4:15 amToledo’s only wins are against Norfolk st and very bad fbs teams in ball st and umass.
